I think it's perfectly normal. There are days on which my kitty eats only half of his normal portion and there are days on which no matter how much more food I give him he just keeps on eating

I'm sure you yourself have days when you are just not that hungry so you eat less or the opposite.

thanks. Im just paranoid Im sure. I lost my bengal a year and a half ago, so I know I over think things. But because of his loss at such a young age,  I over think things, so Ill try and not worry.

I'm very sorry you lost your fur baby at a young age!

If nothing else changes in your kitty's behavior or habits and after a day of not eating much he goes back to his usual routine, I wouldn't worry. If you are still concerned, phone your vet and ask him/her about it.

I'm paranoid too
, so I keep a little kitty journal on my computer where I make notes on his daily activities and such, this way you always know what is out of ordinary and what could have set it off, just a thought

Thank you? I hate that my mind goes elsewhere. Nothing really except that we are packing to move and have been packing for a couple of weeks. That part is not new but he kept ripping the boxes where the stuff is packed and I went to the pet store and bought Bitter Yuck. Like bitter apple but they didnt have bitter apple but I bought this. He doesnt bite or chew anything, but he was destroying the boxes and I wondered if I can keep him at bay it will be better. I started using it yesterday. I thought ok so now hes not eaten as much since I used it, and Im wondering if it grossed him out a lot or he licked it and it bugged his tummy. If thats it, it would explain a lot, but now I feel horrible. But no idea if its that or not

It could be that or the packing stuff away has finally gotten him stressed out enough so you noticed a change in his routine. Don't feel terrible, for all you know he could have eaten a bug that did not agree with his tummy. Could you, maybe, put all the boxed up stuff in a separate room and lock it, so he won't destroy the boxes and you won't have to use anything to deter him?

We have locked up most of it up but its a lot of stuff, and its open concept and nowhere else to put it, and lots of heavy stuff that cant be moved. Maybe its an off day. Ill keep an eye on him. Hes a very sensitive boy, so things bug him easily but food is never an issue. However your right, he could have eaten a bug or something that upset his tummy. Im paranoid, I know...

Hey, we all here love our cats and worry about them
don't stress about it too much, they can pick up on that too. Just try going around you day as usual but keep an eye on your kitty.
But I'm sure he's ok.
