Hey you might know me from previous posts, but one of my kittens "mary" has been stealing from me some macaroni whenever I start eating. I'm just wondering if this might cause her any problems.. she's currently chewing on some more. Thanks! :)

Hi!

I think that any problem that might arise could come from what is on the pasta rather than the pasta itself. The pasta is pure carbs and cats require a diet that is high in protein and low in carbs as they are obligate carnivores.  That being said, a taste here and there should be OK as long as it's not a garlic based sauce on it. Is it macaroni and cheese?

It depends on what the macaroni is covered with, if anything. Plain macaroni or pasta is fine. Cats don't really need starches and stuff in their diet but an occasional piece won't hurt. Macaroni covered in tomato sauce and other things aren't good because the garlic and onions and other spices can be harmful to cats. Real cheese may be ok but the powdered stuff often used in a boxed macaroni and cheese kit often contian a lot of thngs than just the cheese so I would just avoid giving giving any cheese covered pasta.
