My kitty reacts to bleach the same way she does to catnip, rolling all over and getting excited. I just used a spot of bleach to clean something on the floor and she has been going nuts, rolling all over the spot etc. I know bleach is safe for cats (am I right in this?) and I wiped the floor dry after using the bleach, it is just the smell that lingers. Is this normal behavior for a cat? Has anyone else's cat been doing this too? This behavior lasts for only a few minutes, though. She has done this previously too.

Well any bottle of bleach had numerous warnings and danger statements so it's not safe for anyone unless used properly. A diluted bleach solution is fine to use around pets. You want want to follow up with mopping the floor with hot water or a steam mop or a hot water / vinegar / baking soda solution to remove any traces of bleach residue. I'm not sure why some cats like the bleach scent but I don't think it would hurt.

I had a girl cat who did this. It was the oddest thing. I would keep her locked in a bedroom while I washed the floor and let it dry. She also liked rubbing her head in my hands when I was done. I would basically wash my hand till my skin felt like it would fall off and she still would rub on my hands.

I do dry the floor etc, but she goes nuts for a few minutes anyway. I think it is just the scent. She has always been doing this ever since we got her.

LOL, that's weird indeed. Wonder what it is about cats and bleach.

Bleach is definitely not safe for cats if it is ingested. Bleach should be used in any situation with extreme caution. My cats also love to roll all over tiled floors when I have bleach-washed them. Heavily diluted naturally.
