My cat, Marty, is 10 going on 11 years of age. He is a Male and an indoor cat. Never in his life has he had ANY problems. That was as of yesterday started urinating in different spots in the house, bed, couch, floors / carpet, as well as in his box. He seems to be the same old cat, aside from this problem. But when I got up to go to work my wife told me that he had urinated on the kitchen floor and that it had blood in it. I have been looking on the net for some answers. I was just looking for some guidance on this. Could this just be a Urinary Tract Infection, or Cysistis (hope I spelled that right), or a bladder infection. Does he need to see a vet or a change In diet.

Help!!! Either e-mail me or respond to this post..

Hi Hikrill,

I think your cat has some kind of a urinary disorder..You should take him to a vet ASAP..He might have urinary tract infection, kidney disease (which is common in senior cats), bladder infection or cystisis as you said. All of these conditions require medical attention..They aren't "just", they can really be dangerous if left untreated...

Your kitty is sick and should be treated immediately. This won't clear up on its own, not to mention the fact that as long as he has this problem he will pee all over your house. Please take him to the vet today!

my cat sammy was 11 when this happened to. turened out to be diabetes. Insulin twice a day like a person with diabtes made her feel better. She drank tons of water to. Keep us posted on what the vet says.
