The builders have been onsite at my house for three weeks now, doing major renovation work. They have demolished an old rackety extension that joined the two parts of y house together, dug out the hillside at the back to make more space and are now just starting the rebuild. Meanwhile I am camped out in one half of the house, that is usually used as my rental cottage, as this is the only place I have water, heating and electricity. I have moved four cats in here with me, and left five over the other side. They hate the noise and it is dangerous to let the two outside cats out as there are machines moving around all the time, so I anm getting up early to give them a run out before the team arrive and then again at lunch time. They are not impressed at their home being destroyed in such an arbitrary fashion, although I know they will love iot when it is finished as the plans include a large cat enclosure at the side of the house

Yes, I am going to have an office/workroom with masses of shelving space for my fabrics (which will free up the supposed existing spare bedroom upstairs), another spare bedroom, a large bathroom and a utility room that the builder insists on calling the 'catroom' as it will have an access door to the cat enclosure. And there will be a metre wide walkway around the house, witht he bank secured and planted up with hanging plants and conifers. I am also building my 'recycled garden' at the top, with dividing walls of railway sleepers, benches of wooden pallets and raised veggie beds of tractor tyres. It is well under way, pix coming soon!

Wow, what a project.  It's going to be wonderful when it's done.  The chaos and disruption while the work is being done, though, is tough.  Our kitties are always nervous when there's a lot of noise and new people around.

How much longer will the workers be there?

What a lot of work! I'm sure it will be great when it is finished. :)
