About 6 months ago I had my 2 year old female (Olive) spayed. About four days ago, Olive started exhibiting signs of being in HEAT! I don't understand how this could be, has anyone ever heard of this happening?? I appreciate any insight as I am very concerned. Thanks.

Spayed cat in heat???

I have heard of this happening when the vets miss even a little bit of ovarian tissue. Even a tiny bit of tissue remaining will produce hormones which can trick her body into thinking it's in heat again. I would talk to your vet who did the surgery and, without being accusatory, ask them about it. Hopefully they will guarantee the surgery.
