Cat is scared of my crutches

So I got crutches, he's so scared of me and aggressive towards me. I can get near him anymore. He won't come near me. I think he misses me, because he sleeps on my car outside. Just stares at me, and now when I shake his snack bag. He won't come
He will look at me and than turn away from me. He just turns around and sit back side from me. What am I suppose to do?

I would tielots of curly ribbons to the crutches and make them look ike a cat toy.  Alternatively, you could sit down and put them beside you and then call him for treats so he could get usedto the crutches as just an object on the ground and not a big stick someone was going to try tohit him with.  He may have been struck by someone with ashovel or stick at some time.
