I just switched my kitten to grain-free dry food and chose Whole Earth Farms because the ingredients looked really healthy, it's very affordable and it got great reviews, however...I can't find an expiration date or best by date anywhere on the bag!  That's a little bit unsettling because I'd like to be assured the food isn't going stale.   Can anyone else who uses this brand help me out?  Maybe I missed it somewhere but I looked everywhere on the bag.

Try calling the company and asking them where it is.  I've had problems locating the expiration date on items before, and that's what I've done

I actually went to their website and on the site it mentions that the date is located on the back of the bag but I definitely didn't see it on mine. I'm wondering if it's just a weird fluke that it didn't get printed on mine.  I wrote them an email as well

I wonder if some companies purposely use the lightest dye they can get away with to stamp the date on their products.  I had a heck of a time finding the expiration date on a bag of Rachael Ray cat food, too.  It was there but it was so light as to be nearly transparent.

I have a 5lb bag of their kitten formula. The expiration is printed clearly in black on the back top portion of the bag above the Whole Earth Farms logo. It's on the creme colored portion, not the colored portion of the bag.  My bag has an expiration date about one year from today.

I would like to add though, that my kitten doesn't like this food. I would definitely recommend trying it, but I wouldn't buy a gigantic bag in case it doesn't suit your cat's taste preferences. I will be looking for another brand of food for my cat.

I eventually found it- they actually printed it over the dark coloring on my bag so it was really hard to spot.   My cat seems to like it, but she is not the picky type so far- she will eat literally anything you give her.
