My 5 month old kittens (Luna) breath is pretty foul. We have another cat (Roxy) but never seem to smell her breath at all. When Luna yawns, I have to close my nose because the smell is going to reach me in a matter of seconds, but then again, Roxy doesn't like to come as close as Luna does. Luna grooms Roxy and now both cats smell like dried up spit. She's losing her teeth and i noticed that for some time she had double fangs on the top, and that was when I started noticing her stank breath. She's been eating well, playing a lot and acting normal. Money is tight so I don't want to go to the vet if this is something that is normal. Please help guys! she's my baby <3

imanieboo,

Welcome to TCS :wavey:

As you mentioned that your kitty is 5 months old and you noticed double fangs on the top. Reason is that your kitten is teething. As I'm ruling out other problems like gum disease and such, and therefore the breath has a foul smell. Not to worry about the smell of it's not caused by other conditions.
Luna's kitten's teeth are changing to adult's teeth. By 7 months or so, all the adult's teeth will be in.
In the meanwhile, her mouth will be a little sore and she'll be chewing on things. Get her something safe and soft to chew on. You might even find one or two or more of her baby teeth on the ground.
