Kitten is quite a talker......

He likes to meow an talk but he also meows at me when i come home if ive been out or at work.....is this normal for them to meow at you on returning home? X

That's the biggest time my two boys talk to me.  Most of the time they are quiet (other than at mealtimes, or if something is wrong).  My deaf one is very quiet unless he really means business.  My younger one is chatty, but not as much as when I've been gone.  As soon as I hit the door it is nonstop until I give both of them attention and big love, then off they go, but it usually takes quite a while to settle them down.

With one it takes treats to stop the onslaught.  With the other it is pic-me-up-hug-me-hold-me. But it is the meow-iest time of the day at my house.  I usually get climbed and furred really well before the welcoming committee is finished with me.

@hbunny thank u for your reply and glad to know its normal behaviour :-). I was worried it was anxiety. It is only brief when i first walk in until i stroke him/ pick him up then hes off an fine although sometimes he has to get straight on my lap an have a little snuggle for a while too xx

HAHA!  I don't think anything is normal with cats!  I think one of mine is absolutely scolding me for being gone, and demanding a treat to make up for it, while the other is "OHHH how I missed you, love me love me!"  So it could go either way!  I never know if I'm being scolded or welcomed.

Bless they r such amazingly interesting animals arent they! Ive alwsys been used to pups an dogs....never had a kitten/cat so this is all brilliantly new to me! Yours both sound soooo adorable! Xx
