My beloved little warrior Sahra is getting ready to transcend.

Born outside to a semi-feral mom as part of a burgeoning population of community cats we worked for years to earn the trust of and get medical care for including spay/neuter, this little desert-cat lookalike, who never grew beyond kitten size, was always fragile, with a stubborn respiratory condition that never totally cleared up, and related ear issues.  But that didn't stop her from being a relentless predator when living in our secured barn compound in the Mojave.  Nothing ever got by my Sahra!  Her fierce was off the charts.

After three years of living in the closest thing to Paradise I've known on this earth, my ex decided to dump us all, and I had to scramble frantically to find safe haven for a lot of our little refugees because I was faced with moving back down to a city with cat quotas.  Sahra was the one I would not part with; because of her frail health and her fierce and loving nature, I brought her and as many of our beloved family as I could down here.  We lived as well as we could, one way and another, and Sahra actually outlived several other, mostly but not all older members of our cat family.

Her decline has been swift and I do not feel sad for her that she is going to be leaving her worn-out little body for a much better place, where so many of our beloved ones watch over us now.  But I will be mourning for myself and all of us left here without her -- a tiny "tablet" with a huge heart and a limitless warrior spirit, she will be greatly missed until we are all reunited in due time.

I'm so sorry to hear Sahra will be leaving you soon.  It sounds as if she was loved by you completely as a sweet kitty should be.

There is a comfort knowing that they are no longer in pain or suffering in anyway, yet there is that empty loss that we are left with when they are gone, as you know from losing others, it will take time.

Everyone should be so lucky to know what it's like to bond with at least one special kitty in their life.

You both were lucky to have had one another.  As I now keep a candle lit for my sweet fur ball Simon who left me back in June, along with several other sweet angels who left - Lexi, Lamont - Eddie, and too many others to write, I will keep your sweet Sahra in my thoughts and prayers as well.

You sound like a strong person, however, my shoulder is yours if needed.

You are a gentle soul with a loving heart, may you be blessed for caring for these beautiful felines who share your life's journey. Sahra sounds like a beautiful, feisty little girl with the soul of a warrior, just as you so aptly used in your description of her. You gave her years of love and care, that is all she ever wanted from this life and the bond you have formed will be with you forever. It, and the precious memories you have, will bring you comfort in your time of grief, you cannot help but to grieve for the loss of one so special and close to your heart. Remember she would never want you to be so sad when remembering her, but to rejoice that she was in your life for a while. She shared your life for a reason, and it brought you joy and happiness.

The time is near when Sahra's journey will take another path, but it will always parallel yours and you will be reunited once more in the future, and this final journey will keep you together for eternity. Thank you for letting us know of this wonderful little girl, she will now be in the thoughts and prayers of many as she so richly deserves. My heart goes out to you for your pain, it is always equal to the amount of love you share. Take care....... Sahra, may your journey to the Rainbow Bridge be swift, and your beautiful new star shine down it's love upon the one who will hold you so dearly in a loving heart. You left your mark on this earth, now it is time to make your place in the heavens!

I'm so so sorry about Sahra.  I'm still grieving my boy, so if you need a shoulder, I'm here for you.  I love the picture of her in the window.  She looks like she was a big squeezable bundle of love.

Please know you are in my thoughts & prayers.

Warmest regards to you and your family, your TCS friend, Hope & my gal Chestnut.

May you now be at peace and roam free of any pain sweet Sahra, give my Simon a nose bump for me

I'm so sorry to hear that your dear Sahra has passed. You and she shared both the highs and lows of life together and I can only imagine how great of a loss this is for you. Sahra knew so much love and will now run free of pain and sickness. Please take comfort in that and again, my condolences for you loss.

I am sorry to hear this, she was a beautiful little girl. You did the best that you could for her, you and she have no regrets, you cared for her and she lived her life to the fullest, she had all she wanted and needed, but it is still so very hard when the time comes, the time spent together is never quite enough. But she is on to another great life, and you will be so happy when you are reunited again one day....

God Bless....

So sorry for your loss-Just seeing this now- just wanted to send my condolences of your beloved baby. I find myself missing my elder Floey something fierce this morning. It was very cold this morning and missed her warm body cuddling with me in the morning before I start my day. I hope you find comfort in the fact that you gave her the very best life a kitty could ask for.

Thank you so much.  I do appreciate words of comfort, and I am sorry for your loss, too.  So many places on the bed are empty now.  It will be our first winter without Rani angel and Sahra angel.  I am hoping our recently adopted Elvis will do his part to fill in when and where he can.   *SAHRA and RANI*
