Keiko has developed some sores on the lower part of her back this last week & there are some around the base of her tail. I have no idea what it is. I googled but ended up seeing horrific images, nothing like hers. They're quite small but bigger than pimple sized... But completely flat. Not deep sores at all. Earlier in the week I was putting sudocrem on them & they healed but she had lost the hair from where the sores are. But I've just noticed she has new ones!

She's perfectly happy & normal in herself.

I'd take her to the vets but she suffers from stress related cystitis & has daily medication for it. A trip to the vets would start an episode. So if I can avoid a trip - that would be super.

Any ideas before I book her in as a last resort? I'll try to add a photo tomorrow when I've got natural light.

Could she have an alergy to anything, or have had contact with something which might burn her skin?   I hope you are able to find out the cause and that they heal quickly.

A photograph would be very helpful for people to see in case anyone's cat has had similar.  You could also ask your vet if they would look at a photograph, perhaps if you email one or two to them.  I had a cat who got cycstitis from stress too and was seriously vet phobic so unless she was critically ill all consultations for her were done by phone / email.

Google up Stud Tail or Supracaudal Gland and see if any photos that come up look like it.  It's called stud tail because it's more common in tomcats but dogs and cats of any age, gender or neuter status can get it.
