There is a feral cat at my work who everyone feeds and pets, he seems to be a kitten of about 7 months. I plan to bring him home soon but I am wondering how to socialize him with my dog? My dogs very good with cats and very gentle, even when attacked he only tries to get away from the cat. What would be the best way to introduce the two without putting either at risk? Thanks

Welcome to TCS!  Here is a great article to help with cat to dog intros.  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/introducing-cats-to-dogs

Thank you for helping this little one.  Be sure that the cat is taken to the vet first for a full check up as well as spay/neuter.  It will be easier to do this first before doing introductions.

You also will want the kitty to have a room of it's own for a bit that is cat proofed.  You don't want a bed in the room unless it is flat on the floor.  Hiding under the bed is the first place a frightened kitty will run.  You do want a safe place for him to hide such as a hiding box of a cat tree or even a cat carrier with a cozy blanket.

Allow the kitty time to acclimate to you and inside living first.  That will ensure a much easier introduction to the dog.
