Hey all :) hope everyone is well humans and furry friends ^^ .. i have a question my little one (jack hes a 2year old male) seems to be suffering from allergic conjunctivitis .. i took him to the vet and we got some ointment for him (dexa with gentamicin) .. do you know how long it takes to see some impruvement or for it to completely heal? I have been doing the ointment for 5 days now and the vet told me to do it for 7-10 days of need be .. however i am worried it is not getting better as he still keeps the eye closed most of the time :(

Ask your vet if they think an oral antihistamine would be helpful.  My older one (indoor all the time) has been on one for years, he takes a small dose daily during our high pollen seasons.  He sneezes a lot too, but the worst part of it was his poor eyes.  One or the other was always shut and runny.  Since starting the oral meds he is 100% better.  Wouldn't hurt to ask about it.

You are welcome.  It may not be the answer for your cat, but it completely resolved the issues with mine.  Poor guy was winky all the time. Hubby called him popeye, and I was calling him Captain Jack Sparrow
I honestly felt so sorry for him.  I have allergy issues too.
