Wow! That doesn't look like a cat from another country. That looks like a cat from another planet!
Very interested to hear what breed it is too. Had it been shaved?

I don't think it was shaved. The hotel had taken in many other stray cats and dogs that they feed and look after, so I don't see why they would shave it. I've looked on Google, can't find anything like it. It was really friendly as well!

He seems to be some sort of naked cat, of not recognized type.  Perhaps an local mutation?

We know at least three recognized types, the Sphynx, the Don, and the Peterbald - these last are essentially modern Orientals but without hairs (some exemplares may have hairs).

The head is most intriguing - Thailand and countries around are the motherland of several breeds, alike, Korat, Siamese, Khao Manée, even Burman is really from Thailand, not Burma...  Holy birman is supposed to be from there, but its in part a myth - Birman is a modern construction.

But I dont remember I saw such a head anywhere there...  Of course, being an naked cat doesnt helps much....

Oh, now I know, the ancestor must have been some sort of persian or Exotic, mutaded and become naked.  OR shawed.

Tis may be and explanation, say its a longhaired natural son of a Persian.  Its hot down there, no? so somebody kind sould did shawed him...

This is perhaps the most probably theory, after all.  Statistically it should be more probable than a new mutation.

He appears to be shaved---he has more fur than hairless cats, it's just very short. Plus he has puffs on his toes and whisker pads where it's difficult to shave. I think he's a Persian/Persian mix who has very recently been very closely shaved. He may belong to someone nearby and come visiting at the hotel.

Uhmm too slim for a persian mix, and too long haired for a burmese mix (looks it was shaved).. It is a unique cat indeed..

Thai Persians may be slimmer, not bred to usual show standards. And, how often does someone see a fully shaved Persian? :lol3: They might be pretty slim under all that fur. But with that kind of snubbed nose I think he must have at least some Persian. It's a trait that's easily lost through cross-breeding.
