So lately I've been eating a whole load of scrambled eggs as I've started weightlifting again; this is about the only human food that my cat will have a bit of. She's on royal canin dry food which I get from the vets, but is it ok to allow her scrambled egg if she's hovering around?

it's really weird I know

Yes, scrambled eggs are just fine, especielly if you scramble in some nice fat, alike butter or coldpressed canola oil...

Otherwise to give a full answer; there are some twists.

First, if you do have problems with salomonella in your country.  If yes, its safest to give only  cooked eggs, ie hardboiled or well scrambled.    Its nourishing and healthy.

If not, no especial problems, raw egg yolk is very nourishing and easy to digest.   Good to use for convalescents, etc...  Is in every recipe for mothers, emaciated cats and recovalescents...

But the egg white raw, isnt so good, it tends to destroy some of the B-vitamines.  So avoid raw egg white.  But cooked - scrambled or boiled, is egg white very fine - contains lotsa of proteins....

However, a whole egg raw, itsnt that bad, because the good egg youlk properties counterbalance the less good egg white properties.  But why compromise?  Try to make the maximum if you can.

Last but not least:  egg shells, crushed into fine powder, can be used as a quick and rich calcium source - as egg shells are made of essencially pure calcium.  Just sprinkle some alike salt on the cats food.

One egg may be enough for a whole months for a cat.

Yes, I understand.  I wrote a more elaborated answer, because people google through the years and will surely find this title and the tread.  So I wanted to give the full answer and not just half answer.
