Hey

This morning one of my cats was in a very very friskey mood (like cats often are). And he normally do not make big jumps, but due to his mood did. He was very high (relative) above the ground (160cm) and jumped from a window ledge to a shelf. He had a very high velocity and sliped on the snooth shelf surface and fell down.
From where I stood it looked like he landed mostley on his feet, 3/4 and the fourth (the right hind leg) was not conpleatly straight under him.
I ofcourse freak out, try ro get him to walk around. The only thing is, he is normaly a very lazy cat, and always lay down on the floor. Positive I say him laying down on both his sides (so it does not seem like that is unfortable for him).
I also checked for any swelling or obvious brakes, but everything seemed normal. As I said he was in a very friskey mood, so getting him to chase white mice toys was no problem (since I could not feel anything, I wanted to see him move).
And he started chasing the mice I thres around, really chase at top speed. And seem to move as he normaly would, placing weight on both feet.
Alse what I daw of him walking also seems normal.
He did not like me squieezing to much on his legs (but cats normally hate it when you touch their feet (him included)). So I would say normal behavious to me handeling his feet.

I really had to get going (but did end up beeing late as I wanted to really check that he seemed fine). And I hope to come home and see him still fine.

But, if he is not fine, what should I look for? If he is more than just a ittle bruised, and there might be a sprain or something, what is the signs?

Swelling (warmth), not wanting to put weight on his foot... More?

I know with humans, if you breake something you start to swell up almost immideatly.
So a worried cat owner who is living on a student loan and therefor would rather not go to the vet since he seems fine, is asking what do I look for?
I will take him to the vet, don't misunderstand, at any signs of anything I will, but he really seems fine, he really was runningn around like his normal friskey self.

Thanks for any help that people can give :)

An update: so I came home and he still seems fine. Still can not feel any swelling or breakes. He is using all feet as normal. I found his favourite toy to get him op om his jind legs, he puts weight on them and also jumped after the toy. He really seems to be normal. So I hoped its only "baba bear" that worries for nothing :D

I think at this point if he hurt himself, he would be limping, so as you said, you are probably just being a little over protective about your furbaby.  Nothing wrong with that
