Thanks guys... We have 3 kittens so far. First @ 8:55pm
2nd @ 9:09pm
3rd @ 9:36
I'm so freaking proud of Diamond. I even cried. I'm going to be hopeless when my own daughters have babies lol.

So there bedding is obviously disgusting. Should I leave them be or change it all over for them? And if she has more to come, how can I tell? TIA xx

Wow! That was quick and all in a row too! Are you expecting anymore kittens?

I don't know what others suggest but I waited to clean up the next day to give the kittens and mom some time to relax before I moved them.
The next morning I moved all the kittens to a cardboard box beside the nest and quickly changed all the bedding and popped them back in.
Also saved on having to wash extra bedding...but I suppose it depends on the size of the mess? My kittens' birth was pretty clean.

So exciting. [emoji]128516[/emoji][emoji]128522[/emoji]

OMG... #4 @10:16
This one struggled a little but Diamond is such an amazing mum.. She revived it after I helped clean the nose up a bit. She really worked hard on this one. I'll have to keep a close eye...

Awesome! Glad you were able to help with this last one, and happy the others were easy.

I prefer changing out wet, messy bedding as soon as mom is finished birthing her kittens. Kittens need to be dry and warm.

Give mom a dish of KMR to drink. Can you weigh the kittens?

Thank God you're here!! Lol. I can weigh them but are you sure diamond won't mind?
How do I know if she's finished?

Give it a few minutes to see if she's done laboring before changing the bedding. Weigh the kittens in front of her, but be sure your scale is on a flat surface. A different color nail polish on the tail tips will help you to tell them apart. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

We have 5 kittens [emoji]128522[/emoji][emoji]128522[/emoji][emoji]128522[/emoji]. I thought she was done so I changed the bedding and bang.. There was another lol. All placentas have come out and she's done well. She had a saucer of milk and food just before she gave birth. I've made up more but she isn't interested. My scales are broken! Stupid me didnt think of checking them lol. She looks so tired now. For obvious reasons lol. But my point is that before she still looked on edge, now she looks content. I'm hoping that 5 is all lol. This is going to cost my fortune getting them all chipped, vaccinated and desexed if they are with me long enough. Please no more, Diamond!! Lol

They ate all perfect!! And vocal if diamond decides to move lol. Mum is purring and sleeping. I've made sure she isn't squashing them. Hope this is OK?

I can't get any pics cos my phone is dying so my flash won't work lol.

I took my dog and other cat outside while Diamond was giving birth, should I keep them all separated? Or should I put the kitten box next to me on my bed?

Unless they are all extremely good friends, it's best to keep them separated while the kittens are small. Can you keep mom and kittens in your bedroom with the door closed? Mom will need her food, water, and litter nearby as well.

Morning [emoji]128522[/emoji]. Night went well. All kittens are latching and feeding beautifully. Diamond seems well except she is constantly meowing at me. The only time she's happy is if I'm sitting next to her. She's following me everywhere and meowing at me all the time. When she's in the box with the kittens, she's OK as long as I'm next to her. Super affectionate!! She has used the kitty litter to do a week, eaten her food mixed with kmr and had a little water. Can you please tell me what could be wrong with her? I've tried everything!!

Kittens weights are as follows...

#1 83g
#2 96g
#3 77g
#4 103g
#5 82g.

Diamond is really breathing rapidly... She's had 60ml kmr on its own. She's settled down and won't follow me anymore but her breathing is really worrying me. Diamonds temp is 38.6 degrees Celsius. Any input would be hugely appreciated
