Hi all, so here's a little update.

I did stop by the vets on Friday, & she had the dewormer & the Advantage for me. She gave me a sample box of the Advantage Multi, so that was a nice blessing! I didn't even know those had samples. So, all I had to pay for was the 13.00 for the dewormer pill.

I think I found a mouse he likes. I took a few toys out of Angels box, under my bed.           Here's Angel's old litter box w/ all of his toys in it. I pulled it out from under the bed Friday,

to get some toys out.. When I saw some of Angel's favorites, I started to cry. ..Had a good cry.

Kelly it took a  lot of courage to take Sammy in after losing Angel, kudos to you for having the strength to save this sweet little soul. I just wanted to let you know that I love seeing the pictures of Sammy but Angel will always be in my memory and he will not forgotten.

Sammy is adorable, he looks really good in that green collar. (Wonder if I can find one like that for Jiro?
)

It's nice that Angel's toys are being loved and played with again.

Awwww, thanks Eric!
I really appreciate that. Yes, I am always talking to Angel, as I'm sure he must be here a lot. On Saturday night, It was 11;00 & Sammy hadn't come back from wherever ho goes, so I said,

It's late, Angel, bring your little brother home. Tell Sammy it's time to come in. It wasn't too long after that, he did.

Thanks! I got it at Pet Smart. I thought the bright green would look good with his fur & eyes. The paws on it are reflective.

Yes, it is nice to pass on some of the toys to him. There may be some that I don't.....but we'll see. It is hard sometimes. I will always miss my sweet Angel. He really was a special boy!!

I'm so happy you two have found one another.  It's so sweet when bonds form naturally.

You see, Angel knew your heart was big and full of love and sent you a sweet boy.

Sammy is gorgeous, those eyes are beautiful, and his little ear.  So very sweet.

I wish you all the happiness with this sweet boy.

Warmest regards, Hope & my gal Chestnut

OH!  I forgot to tell you guys. (Eric, I know you were asking).  I did see the little calico neighbor this morning, so I called her up on the porch. Sammy was laying out there, & I wanted to see if she'd come up.

Well, she came up to the top step, then he chased her away, then hissed at her from the steps. She ran away, & he went down & sniffed in the yard. I told him that that was not nice, that she was a friend, & she is welcome to come up here too. I told him he didn't have to worry, that she already had a mommy, & wouldn't take his place. I told him again that he was to be nice to her.   ........."Kitties!"

"That's cute. Poor little gal. LOL Guess he's settled - Watch Cat On Duty. LOL"

Yep! I guess he figures he's found a good thing here, & doesn't want anyone getting in on his new territory.

Yes, I found it and I'm loving this story too.  Sweet Sammy...  sent from an Angel above.

This year started out sad for the both of us and it's nice to end on a happy note.

I have my gal Chestnut,  whom I love to death, but honestly she's a bit "boring" lol...  She just wants to be loved and eat.  Oh yeah, she expects me to wipe her butt. LOL  Pampered gal for sure.

I figure if I had the room for 2 before, I'd rather have a kitty here with me than in a cage or the street.

I think my heart has opened up wide enough to allow the powers of the Universe send me a kitty... LOL

So very happy for you.  I truly am.

YAY!!!!

I was following the little Gals story as well, and always thought she was sent to you to keep that heart open and prepared for the moment you'd meet another. I'm so happy, this story, as well as the "meatballs" on

@Kittens Mom  thread, make my  heart warm and fuzzy... LOL

btw, I managed to kill the plant I got in memory of my Simon.  I think root rot set in.  Meanwhile, every other plant in my home, I've had for over 20 years. LOL

I'm so happy you've been adopted again, Kelly! Sammy's absolutely gorgeous. I just noticed in that last set of pics he's got a tipped ear, wonder if he was a stray at one time and TNR'd?

Awww, that's too bad about the plant. I'm supposed to put the hydrangea in the ground sometime this, or next month, but I am so afraid, worried if it will do well or not. I love having it up here on the porch w/ me.

I can't bring it in either though. I don't really have a good place for it, & the heat would dry it out. I guess I will plant it sometime soon, before it starts getting too cool, & pray for the best. It's been doing so good, still blooming, so I would be so upset if it didn't make it!

I haven't followed kittens mom in a while, haven't seen an updated post, so I'm not familiar w/ "meatballs." I will have to check it out when I have time to catch up.

I made clippings so next spring I'll try to replant.  The meatballs will have you craving Italian. LOL

Enjoy the night.  Chow for now.

Thank you!  Yes, I wonder that too. I know the house he came from had 4 other older kitties inside, so when the old man passed away, the wife put the smaller kitties out in the back yard. That's all I know from the mouth of another neighbor. I want to go find out sometime soon. I told her I would go over there w/ her, because I don't know the lady. I'm not sure if she does very well either. I just want to find out as much as I can.

Like when he was born, a month & year at least, etc...   I don't know of anyone around here TNRing in this neighborhood, so I wonder too. It would be nice to find out as much as possible, since I didn't know Angel's details. Only that the vet guessed him to be 5 when I first took him, & a neighbor thought more like 6 from remembering back to when he first showed up there. So he was 11 or 12 when he passed.

LOL! OK, well I have some turkey in the freezer, & had already been thinking about making meatballs w/ it.
(& I am half Italian, so grew up on those Sunday dinners!)

That's good you have clippings, so you can try again.

I'm logging off for the night as well.

I wonder why they would clip a male that has been fix, you would think it would be easy to tell by a little tail lift? Girls on the other hand it wouldn't be so easy

I guess that as a lot of outdoor cats are feral it's hard to get close enough to take a proper look under their tails. With a ear tip you can tell from a distance.

Yep, that's what I was going to say. I also wondered why they have to cut so much of it, & my ex that used to work at a vets, said to be sure it's not confused w/ just an injury, or frostbite, or something like that.

Also, some cats are so fluffy, you wouldn't be able to see through all the fluff. LOL! I've tried to see what a neighbor cat of my parents is, but it's so fluffy, I can't tell at all. I sense it's a boy though.
