My cat recently had a seizure 8/31/16 and her sister no longer likes to be around her anymore. She hisses at her and the one that had the seizure is afraid to go around her. Can anyone tell me why my one cat no longer likes the one that had the seizure?

Because she is probably acting different.  Cats don't like change.  Is this the first seizure your cat has ever had?  Is she on medication for it?

Did you take her to the vet after she had a seizure? I have two litter mates and one has been sick. We had to leave him at the clinic all day for observation and tests. His sister wanted nothing to do with him after we brought him home. She hissed and would attack him for three days and we had to reintroduce them. Cats recognize each other by smell and he had a lot of different smells on him when he came home and it freaked her out. All he wanted to do was snuggle up to her, but she went attacked him every time he came within 10 feet of her. We talked to our vet and she suggested that we bring both in together for future visits.

I always bring all three house cats in to the vet when it is time for vaccinations so they will all get along after. The cat that had the seizure may smell different now, or act different, either one would cause them to be strangers once again. It's been a couple of weeks, so they SHOULD start getting along. I think hissing is OK, just so there is no out right fighting.

If you haven't taken your cat to a vet it's best to get a check up ASAP there maybe health issues.

It could be your cat's can sense smell when a cat is ill so they distance themselves.
