I have 3 cats, aged 6 months, 5 yrs., and 15 yrs. Mike, our 5 yr. old long haired orange and white tabby is just the biggest, most lovable kitty on earth. He was abandoned at 3 weeks, and bottle fed. He was litter trained, but has preferred the floor if the litter box isn't emptied in a timely daily manner. Lately, I have noticed in his feces, some blood. He will use the floor near the litter boxes instead of one of the litter boxes. Since we have recently added a new kitten, I have added a third litter box, and clean the boxes daily. Evidently, Mike is trying to tell me something. Other than the blood, he appears to be fine. He eats normally, grooms himself and his new little brother, and plays as usual. Any helpful hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It could be a mild colitis, or parasites, or something more serious. Your best bet is to take a fecal in to the vet and let them test it for you.
