My 15 year old cat is in surgery as we speak, getting several teeth removed. My poor Nina has a broken canine and several other bad teeth, even though she's had regular cleanings annually for the last several years. The specialist dental vet said they don't know what causes it, it could be genetic factors, but she has bad gum disease that just ruins the teeth ...anyway...wondering about other's experiences with cats that have few teeth left other than the front ones. I'd like to find some sort of soft treat (that's healthy) that she can chew easily....she's already a canned food eater so not too worried about that. I'm really looking forward to the poor girl feeling better, the vet said she's been in a lot of pain and she's always been such a scaredy cat and hides a lot, I never realized....and neither, I guess, did my regular vet who did all the previous cleanings....

Soak some freeze dried meat or fish treats in water until they become soft (may take a few minutes) and give it to your cat, water and all
PureBites is one popular brand and there are many others. You can also use freeze dried raw food as well. Just soak in water until soft and mushy and feed.
