If I do see right, he has the looks of an Oriental. Color is probably black smoke.

We managed to call vet nearby opened tomorrow and will do 1st health check to get precautionary meds for worms, fleas and earmites etc and vet will estimate age. They only desex at 6 months so they will approximate for me... I was a bit put off dealing with a possibly sick kitten who could spread something to my baby but 1 day is really nothing to wait...

I am actually in Malaysia here and this forum seemed best place to get advice. People in this country rarely bother about neutering and then you have an epidemic of stray cats and kittens. This little sweet kitty comes into our home and we just couldn't turn it away.

I'm lucky hubby is a banker and vet costs is not an issue. Obviously we aren't gonna rescue all the kitties in this country but i've told hubby a few weeks this kitten chose us and needs a mummy and my male cat wants it indoors and he agreed

Woohooo he finally used the litter tray and did a poopie. Looks like we won't have issues. I was so stressing out about poopies and weewees outside the litter tray.

Looks like he is fine with the silica crystal litter we use at home

I've never had to litter train a cat.  It's instinct for them to dig, squat, and bury so they just do it.

Awww....what a cutie! And what a tremendously sooth transition to indoors! He's already made himself quite at home, and it's great that your other cats have adopted him! I can't believe he lets you bathe him without a fuss. If he had fleas, they are likely gone after those three baths. I'm so happy everything is working out well for you and the kitty. Keep us updated!

I hope someone will feed the "papa" cat while you're away. Then maybe you can trap and neuter him? I cared for an outdoor feral for over four years, and he was quite happy to live outdoors. I fed him and provided him with a pet house with a heating pad on my porch. He and my indoor cats got to know each other quite well through the windows in my sunroom, and they sometimes had supervised visits with each other with me on my porch.  I would have loved to have taken him inside, but that was not something he wanted. So maybe you could care for the "papa" cat in the same way. BTW, he will see the kitten through your windows as he sees the other cats, and will know and comprehend that the kitten is being cared for, and will accept this--just as my tom accepted the fact that some of his offspring lived inside my house.

Update... Just had vet appt and kitty estimated to be 3 months old. Vet said to bring in for neutering end december or early jan and they will vaccinate then since he's a stray and we don't know about his medical history so its all for precaution..

No fleas or earmites and vet doesn't suspect worms at all and he weighs about 2kg which is a good size. Vet just said monitor his appetite, activity levels and hygiene for next 2 weeks and any problems to bring in...

very lucky there are no problems so he can enjoy airconditioned rooms... He's sleeping in cat carrier on the way home. Must have figured we weren't dumping him anywhere but just checking to make sure he's fine.

White male cat didn't come yesterday. It always howls at night so don't know if it saw kitten is no longer outside and just figured tomove on... Had hubby's family over and kitten was alright. Not afraid but just keeping a distance.

Woke up this morning and kitten was laying on leather sofa... Must have figured how comfy it is

He seems real appreciative being able to sleep on plush couches and beds etc, experiencing airconditioning. The contractors outside assumed we adopted him as they saw me several times during the day feeding biscuits in a bowl and suddenly yesterday he was nowhere to be seen

He comes for lots of cuddles and meows a bit

"Tiger Woods" is such a beautiful, lucky kitty. I'm so glad you were able to get him to a vet and that you have peace of mind about his health. After his few difficult months of life outside, he is surely feeling he is in kitty heaven.

The white "papa" will surely return when he is in need of a good meal or care from you. I hope you will continue to feed him and hopefully trap him for neuter and release. Are you sure he isn't a female? Females tend to howl when they're in heat. Males tend to howl when fighting other males. He is a saint for bringing the kitten to you for care.

Thanks for the update and I hope you'll let us know how everything goes and ask any further questions that arise. Great job with the kitten!

Woke up this morning and the black kitten and my female cat who's been hissing at him a bit as she hadn't warmed upto him, well they were both laying in front of our bedroom door upstairs so looks like they are besties.

Always knew my girl cat lydia was a compassionate being. When my daughter was about 2 months old and crying hysterically and i was in tears, lydia was the one who ran to lay next to my baby to keep her company instead of eating biscuits

Its just so amazing how cats can be way more compassionate and understanding than humans

He probably thinks he's died & gone to heaven. Kudos to you for giving him a 2nd chance at life.
