I adopted my kitten on the 9th from a shelter. She was spayed there on the 6th. When I took her to the vet, they said it was healing fine except a little swollen. When I took her there, she had a scab over the incision. Last night the scab fell off and then I saw red. No bleed but it was red inside. Today it's a little less red but it does look a litttttttttle goey inside but very little. It doesn't hurt her her tummy isn't warm and she's drinking and eating there same. She is active but I am a student and can't be home all day long to keep her calm. I know she's running around in my room at the apartment but when I'm home I try and keep her as calm as possible. Here is a picture to help. Pls let me know if it looks okay it's not the best picture but I feel like a nervous mother taking care of a child lol

It looks very clean to me. No white or yellow pus, discharge or ooozing.

And you mentioned no heat or inflamed areas, and she's eating, drinking and using her litterbox the same.

I would just continue to monitor the incision, like you are doing.

It will probably scab over again, and shrink in size as the new skin heals over.

As long as there is no white or yellow discharge, it should be good.

You might be able to send a photo to the shelter vet, too.

Feeling like a nervous mom, is normal.
I think many of us do that.

That makes me feel very relaxed. Ive never had a kitten before, other than my one from childhood but that was 15 years ago haha so I don't remember. It nerved me when the scab fell off. I didn't know if that was supposed to happen and the front desk girls weren't sure from the vet

Sure.
I was a nervous wreck, the day before and day of the spay and neuter, as well,...two kittens.

When they came home, I couldn't believe how normal they acted. Also ran around, later in evening, which was difficult to keep them calm, as well.

What did you name your girl? And can we see a full photo.

Oh, Curry is adorable!

Take a lot of photos, they grow up so fast.
