This is my house! It was built in the early 1900's. We dug up a stepping stone that had the year 1890 engraved into it. Isn't it cute? It's a fairly big house, although it look's tiny on the outside!

P.S

Look at my Golden Retriever, Buddy. He's around 9 years old!

Thanx, Val!

I am going to build a cat enclosure this Spring. Buddy get's the front yard, the cat's will get the back yard. The enclosure will be 8'L by 6'W by 8'H. My dad runs a Sawmill, so the wood is free!

Thanks everyone! Me and my brother dug up the back yard to level it out a couple of years ago. We got about 3 feet under and there was a black, leather cowboy boot, a key, broken dishes, baby mittens and old medicine. I brought the stuff inside and strange things started to happen. I put the stuff back in the hole and sealed it in the ground for eternity! Somebody didn't want us stealing their stuff!

Candie, your house is adorable! Nice car too!

Nice house! What kind of stuff started happening when you brought the things in that you found while digging? I hope nothing bad. I'm just curious as this sounds very interesting

The Mysterious Boot

After I dug up this old, black, leather cowboy boot, I took it inside to give it a good scrubbing. It was a nice boot, in fairly good condition. I placed the boot at the back door in the kitchen to dry. I went into the living room and turned the TV on, there was nothing interesting on, so I layed on the couch to take a nap. I was awaken by a noise in the kitchen, it wasn't loud, so I didn't bother to see what it was. I thought it might have been the cats goofing around.

My mom worked late nights, I was so excited to show her what I had found in our yard. To my horror, the boot was gone and the back door was wide open. I wanted to go outside to see if the boot was out there, but I was so scared. I waited until daylight to look for it.

When I woke up in the morning I forgot all about the strange boot. I had my morning shower and went into the kitchen to make breakfast. As I walked around the corner, there sat the boot, exactly where I set it the night before. I was in shock, I was so scared that I took the boot and threw it in the back yard. I felt relieved that the boot was finally gone from my house. Or was it?

A few weeks passed and my Grandpa came over to visit. I was telling him about this old boot I had dug up in the backyard. He asked if he could take a look at it. Of course I had to tell him that I threw it into the backyard and hadn't seen it since. We decided we would go check the yard for the old boot. When we got into the kitchen, there it was, sitting by the back door in the exact same spot I put it weeks before! I couldn't take it anymore!

The next morning, I dug a 3 foot hole into the ground, threw the boot in and barried it. The next year, there were flowers growing where I barried the boot.

The Rusty Key

I was digging up the backyard trying to level it out for a garden. I was digging away, when all of the sudden a key appears. It was a rusty, old fashioned key. I thought it was so cool! I brought it inside and began scrubbing it. I took an SOS pad and rubbed as much of the rust off as I could. It was a gold key, pure gold? I have no idea.

I left it on the counter in a bowl of soapy water overnight. When I woke up in the morning, the key was still there. I picked it up and it looked strange to me. The rust came back, as thick as it was when I found it. There was no explanation as to why it would do this. I decided to leave it in Coca-Cola, since it eats rust, overnight. It worked! The key looked almost brand new! I dried it off and put some of stuff you use to make your gold shinier. It was so pretty!

I put the key in a glass jar and went to bed. That night, I was woken up by a terrible noise! It was a lady screaming, only her voice echoed. I turned my head, and there was a lady in a beautiful white gown holding the gold key! I closed my eyes and told my self it was only a dream.

The next morning, my mom woke me up and asked me where I put the gold key. I told her that I stuck it into a glass jar and crazy glued the lid on. She asked me how it ended up on the ledge near the attic door. I freaked, my dream must not have been a dream after all. The glass jar I had put it in was on the windowsill still. The key was gone, but the lid was still crazy glued to the jar. I put the key into another glass jar and sealed the lid on.

I was terrified to sleep alone at night, fearing she would come back to get me. I slept with the lights on for a week, I figured she'd be gone from the house. I checked on the key everyday, it always on the windowsill in the jar where I set it. I went to bed that night and the next morning, the jar was smashed on the floor and the key was gone. I haven't seen the key since, but I see the lady everynight.

We should start a thread where we can all post scary things that have happened to us!

Back when my house was built, it was the only one on a 10+ acre farm! People I know have some pictures, but they have to dig for them. I would love to see my house when it was first built!

Thanks! I love my little house--it's my grandfather's rent home and we are staying there as long as we can so we can save for our brand new home!
The car is Zack's...
