Haha ok. Guess I worry too much about regular things. I've never experienced any sort of pregnancy etc. before.[emoji]128566[/emoji][emoji]128522[/emoji] Thanks.

I need to give my friend's scale back today and won't be able to aquire a new one for another couple of weeks so I just wanted to mark down their weights today until then. Today they are 6 days old and seem to be gaining well. So no urgent worries. The cream kittens are starting to get their pointed coloring in. They have a dark color on their little ears. Obviously still too early to tell if they will be seal or chocolate...but most likely similar to momma?

1.Patron M 167g (11g gain)
2.Mojito M 155g (17g gain)
3.Sangrita F 168g (12g gain)
4.Orxata F 163g (19g gain)
5.Kahlua M 181g (15g gain)

Weights are good. Would you be able to borrow the scale once a week for the next 2 weeks?

I will try!

Do you think it's normal for Patron (and Sangrita?) not to gain as much as the others? I know he's still in the healthy weight bracket but it just seems like big difference between the others. Also I am so happy how quickly Mojito the runt is catching up!

They are the two who need to be weighed regularly. They are probably not getting on the prime nipples, but they are doing okay right now.

Another question... Margarita (momma) won't eat any yogurt or goats milk anymore. She ate it the day of the birth and that's it. Is there anything else I could give her to help her produce good milk. She is eating a mix of kitten kibble and her regular kibble. She also won't eat wet food.

Try plain, boiled chicken, or cooked ground beef. Perhaps tuna fish. Any of these offer high protein.

Margarita has this rash around her nipple where the milk keeps getting stuck. I wash it but it doesn't seem to get any better. I just washed it with warm water before I took this picture. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Oh, that looks sore!

Please apply coconut oil or olive oil to the nipple and the area. If you are able to get Udder Balm it would be even better. If it gets worse, or does not heal, you'll need to see the vet for a prescription.

@sarthur2 What do you think about an apple cider vinegar/water solution for this?
I've been applying the coconut oil but I'm worried about infection.
She seems so uncomfortable. [emoji]128550[/emoji]

Honestly, you should see a vet and let them treat it. They may put her on antibiotics to heal it quickly. I would not use vinegar.
