just wondering if anyone knows of any good webpages about feline diabetes. my CC has always been fussy about everything and just recently she decided she wanted her own water dish. i put one in the bathroom and i have now started to notice that she is drinking quite a bit of water. i'm just wondering if there are any other signs i should be watching out for. she had some blood work done not too long ago (which came back negative on everything) and she seems perfectly healthy so i don't think it's time for a vet visit yet, but you can never be too careful. so if anyone has any helpful advice, please let me know
thanks

thanks hissy, i just checked out felinediabetes.com and they had lots of great info, so my next plan of action is to monitor her urination and i'll take it from there. i really don't think she has it or else the bloodwork would have picked up on it, but i know frequent drinking is one sign. just a quick side note, i think it might also be bahavioural:

CC started wanting only water straight from the tap (old cats can be picky) so of course we thought it was cute and everytime either of us went to the bathroom we would turn the water on for her. i put a stop to this by giving her her own water dish on the sink, and now she still comes into the bathroom, but she hasn't been drinking as much. bottom line, i think she was just drinking every time someone turned on the tap for her. but as i said before, you can never be too careful!
