Joey! You're Neutered, Cut That Out

We heard a squawk, looked out the window and there's Joey on top of Chinny, holding her with his teeth on her neck while he humps.  My guess is he was around 14 months old last November when I had him neutered.  I do know learned sexual behaviour can persist after neuter. and that humping can be a form of pleasure even neutered animals engage in.  But we have seen no sign of it till today.  For her part Chinny looked rather unbothered and certainly Joey was not accomplishing much.  He can't father a litter anyway but we only guess Chinny is already spayed because she's been here 4 years and there's been no sign of a heat in her or any sign of kittens.  LOL, Joey.

Cats, like dogs, also hump as a show of dominance. My Mr Kitty used to hump Sammy whenever he got out of line. Sammy also humps his toys, he has a two foot long loofa dog toy for this specific purpose, so they must get some pleasure from it. Sammy's been neutered for over 8 years and was 5 months old when he had it done. As long as your girl doesn't seem to mind I'd leave them alone.
