Hi, my cat has been brought home after being displaced for two months.
He is painfully thin. He's eaten a little and I will take him to the vet in the morning. Should I feed him anything in particular or small quantities?

I suggest small quantities of cat food. Canned (tinned) or pouch food may be more appealing than dry kibble. You don't want your cat to gorge on food because that may cause an upset tummy. After the vet visit, you should still offer small quanitities of food until your cat has recovered unless the vet tells you otherwise.

Thank you. Trip to the vet this morning. 3kg, dehydrated and jaundiced so kept in at the vets. I'm sure he's in safe hands and just hope he's better soon

Jaundiced is not good.  Sounds like he may have Hepatic Lipidosis, which is caused from not getting enough food when their bodies are used to a certain amount.  He will have a long road ahead of him to recovery.  It is a slippery sloped road, so please be prepared
I will be honest with you and say cats with this (if that's what it is) have about a 50/50 chance.  Mine did not survive

Hi. I'm m sorry to hear that. I think you are right it does sound like the diagnosis. I have everything crossed that he recovers and I can give him all the love he deserves.
