My adult male cat has a UTI. I was wondering if anyone had any home remedies that will help him until I can get him to a vet. Am giving him doxycycline and cranberry juice and it helps but it won't go away.

No. Get him to a vet now. You risk him blocking, which is fatal. Once he's treated we can give you suggestions to help maintain good kidney and urinary health which includes feeding only wet food.

I totally agree.  You can't treat a uti at home. Your cat needs to see his vet.

Where did you get the doxycycline from? That's a prescription medicine. Please don't use expired medicine or medicine prescribed for another pet which may not be at the appropriate dosage for your cat. It may do more harm than good.

If the urinary issue is an inflammation instead of an infection, antibiotics such as doxycycline won't help at all.

Cranberry juice and other home remedies often don't work. I don't think cranberry juice will hurt a cat (do cats even like the tart taste?) but it certainly won't help if your cat already has a urinary issue and can't pee properly.

Please take your cat to a vet as soon as possible. Look for a low cost clinic in your area if you can't afford a regular vet.
