Grain-free wet food diet- who else?

About a month ago I switched my 2-year-old Lulu to a 100% wet, grain-free diet. Through a combination from advice from pet store employees and my own research, I've been made aware of some of the benefits of using a wet food, grain-free regimen (improved coat, energy, good for teeth and digestion etc.) but I'd also really love to hear about anyone else's experiences who exclusively feed their babies this type of diet. I buy most of her food from Mud Bay and have been using brands such as B.F.F, AvoDerm, Tiki Cat and Iams. She's been LOVING it and literally screams her head off at me when it gets close to one of her meal times. Lol!

I want to hear from anyone who has their cats on this diet, and gather feedback from anyone with information or thoughts around it in general.

I feed wet only soulistic, whole earth farms, Merrick. I order soulistic online Petco.com and Merrick and whole earth chewy.com. Dry kibble by instinct I feed as treat while brushing them. Purebite freeze dried chicken is sprinkled on top of food, I buy large dog bag online. I feed no fish.

While my 1 year-old cat gets a roughly even split with dry and wet, she was primarily on dry during her first 4 months in her new home with me.  Today her wet grain-free favorites are Whole Earth Farms, DVP Natural Balance, Fancy Feast, Sheba, Natural Value, Purina Beyond and Purina Pro Plan True Nature.  Unfortunately, grain-free does not mean potato-free or legume-free, but as long as those two carbohydrates are far down the ingredient list I do not worry.

Oh yeah, once in a while I spoil her with some low-effort cooking; unseasoned meat usually lightly roasted or poached.  She loves boiled eggs, too.  Also, these days her dry food consists of No Corn-No Wheat-No Soy varieties from Purina Beyond, Evolve and Canidae.

I currently feed all wet, mostly from Holistic Select, Whole Earth Farms, and Nature's Variety LID (she prefers pates).

My cat was on a grain-free canned food (the Whole Foods brand of cat food, actually) when I got her, but that food was FULL of potato starch and she had become very overweight on it, and she was also very hungry between meals even though she was still gaining weight.

On her current diet she's lost a lot of weight and gained more energy. I sometimes forget how much her diet is doing for her, but then I visit other people's cats who are on low quality kibble with lots of fillers and I see how overweight they are and covered in dandruff, and their waste smells so much worse, and I'm very happy that my cat is so healthy.

She still has a bit of weight to lose, but she's come a long way from being so big that she couldn't even groom herself all over. She also had a lot of constipation problems when I got her, and I don't know if that was related to her diet or not. Upgrading her food did not completely solve that, so she also gets probiotics added to all of her food and she's good to go! I have been feeding Tuff 2 cans of wet Fancy Feast daily. I feed the Classic only since it has fewer carbs. I also feed him a small chicken gizzard for good teeth and additional taurine. Also, 1 tsp. of Fromm dry for a snack. Tuff is so healthy and has a beautiful shiny black coat.
