Are my foster kittens eating too much?

I am currently fostering 3 9-week old bundles of energy.

Their mother died when they were around 3 weeks old, and so I have been fostering them since.

They were started on a raw diet exclusively and immediately after being weaned.

These 2-pound furballs eat a mostly balanced diet of raw meaty bones, organs and gizzards from chicken with gusto, usually 3 times a day.

Based on conventional wisdom, ideal feeding amounts based on body weight seem to be between 2-3% (for what I presume are adult cats).

Trouble is, I have more than doubled their food intake to at least 6% of body weight (to account for their very active lifestyle), and yet they seem to be ready to eat more. As of today, they were fed slightly over 10% of body weight each!

As far as I can tell, they don't seem to have worms or parasites.

So at 10% of body weight, am I feeding them too much? I would greatly appreciate the observations of experienced members on this forum.

Thanks!

Kris

The 10% body weight rule doesn't apply to klitens. You can't feed kittens too much, especially not 9 week old ones. Kittens grow like weeds and need a lot of food to grow. Just feed your kittens as much as they will eat,
