Hi,

I was just sitting down when my lovely little kitty (about 5 years old now) stole a chip from my bag of honey soy chicken chips. I did some researching in case it was harmful, and found out  that the chips contained garlic and onion powder, which is harmful for cats. I cant find out how much vegetable powder they use in their honey soy chicken chips but this is the brand of chips that she ate https://snackbrands.com.au/Kettle

It was only one little chip but I'm wondering if anybody could tell me if one chip would hurt her too much or if she was fine? I'll make sure to keep my chips hidden next time. Thanks for all the help. Also sorry for formatting, I'm a bit too tired right now to bother.

One chip may not contain enough garlic or onion to cause much harm. Keep a very close eye on your cat for the next day and if  you see any signs of possible illness, take your cat to the vet immediately for treatment.

Those chips look interesting. I've never heard of potato chips flavored with chicken before. The ingredient doesn't list chicken so it's probably a fake chicken flavor

our cat has on rare occasions (maybe 4 times in the past 17 years) gotten part of a chip with garlic as an ingredient with no ill effects.  if your cat doesn't seem to have any symptoms and you're still worried, you can talk to your vet.
