Have you tried goose-down pillows? I hate hard pillows with a passion. Goose-down are just right IMO.
I have been tempted to check them out. Maybe this weekend. Thanks!
The only good thing about the summer ending is that I get to bring out my goose-down comforter again. It's like sleeping in a cloud.
I have a ton of pillows, but I don't really know what any of them are. I assume they're just polyfill. I prefer a fairly thick, medium firm pillow, but I'm honestly not that picky.

Thanks to all who helped advised me on Pillows! I went to Kohl's yesterday, picking up one of the Columbia Pillows.. it is really great!
I managed to set up an on line order for another Columbia pillow; I got the last one in the store, and added the
memory/gel foam ones also.... I use a lot of pillows..
Now I can just toss the old ones.. it is time.. they are several years old....

I went to Kohl's today and tested out the Columbia pillows. They were too soft and squishy for my liking
I actually prefer a really firm pillow. I ended up getting a Serta Cooling Memoryfill pillow. I waffled between that one and Kohl's The Big One 2pack Gel Memory Foam that Kat0121 mentioned in her post for awhile.
Second night sleeping with the Columbia pillow... I really like it...
I will see how the gel foam pillows work out. I am a side sleeper who has shoulder problems, so we will see...
The Columbia pillow is good for my neck, but does have a bit of pressure on the shoulder... unless, I am right in the middle of it....

My new Serta pillow is nice and firm. No sore neck this morning
I don't stay in one position at night. I start off on my side then end up on my stomach and then go on my back and just roll around all night, if the cats aren't on either side of me pinning me in place
