I can't believe it's the middle of September!!  We might finally see comfortable temperatures this week too.

What type of pillow do you use?

DH and I both have Memory Foam pillows that were included in the purchase of our mattress.  Both the bed and pillows are the ComforPedic brand (BeautyRest).  They are going on about 5 years old now and look and feel brand new.  (We do have good covers on them!)  I can be thrifty with some things; but I've found things like quality mattresses, pillows and sheets really do make for comfy sleeping!  We bought a cheaper memory foam pillow at Walmart for DH once. It stunk.  It's hard.  He uses it for back support when he lounges on the couch.  Even the "nicer" pillow that came with the purchase of DS's bed didn't last long.  I love the feel of a new pillow; but they just don't last.  I used to sleep with multiple pillows because of that.  Now I don't have to.

I have two really nice memory foam pillows. I put covers on them and hope they last forever.

I have a memory foam pillow that I got at Costco. I love it, my husband and daughter hate it. She says my pillow is too hard.

I have 5 memory foam pillows. The cats LOVE them. Henry sleeps on them all the time. That's why I have so many- so we can all enjoy them. They love the big bed. Sophie loves it when I hold the sheet up and she will run under it and then I drop it on her and she will tunnel around. Sometimes she plays under there, sometimes she will snuggle under the sheet and just purr. Lily likes to snuggle in between the pillows so there is one on each side of her.

I have a shaped memory foam pillow and a couple of ultra thick feather pillows (one was Pixie's before he stopped coming to bed with me :sniffle: ). I switch between them according to how I'm feeling (fibromyalgia flares etc). Asha prefers duvets to pillows :lol3: I have a memory foam mattress topper too :D

I have a bunch of cheap pillows from when I broke my arm and then from when I had surgery on shoulder.

I cannot find a pillow which suits me! I go from side sleeping to stomach sleeping. I do not like hard pillows. The side sleeper harder pillow is too hard for me, yet the soft stomach sleeper pillows are too soft...

I am not cheap, but if I knew a brand name of a pillow, which was perfect for me, I would spend the money for one or two or three.

With the shoulder, knee, and elbows, and hip, it is hard to find a good one...

These are the ones that we have and we all like them. If you have a Kohl's card, they run sales monthly where you can get 30% off if you pay with your Kohl's charge. I bought 3 sets. 2 for the furkids and me and one set for DD.

We have 2 goose-down pillows that were free when we bought our king-size mattress a few years ago. We also sleep with an extra pillow each that I bought at Walmart.

i have two memory foam pillows. none of my cats has ever tried curling up on one of the pillows, but i'm sure if they tried it once they'd use them often. i also have two body pillows, which help keep my back aligned properly when it's sore/achy.

They're just plain old fake cotton ones (except for a small one my grandmother made me when I was a baby. Its real cotton). They're the Serta pillows.

I'm not sure what kind I have. It's not feather filled, maybe just regular polyfill or something similar. At any rate, I do need a new one. The stuffing in my pillow is completely lumpy and no amount of fluffing will break up the lump

What is everyone's thoughts on the My Pillow? I see the commerical on tv all the time but I'm wary of all the claims about how great it is. I've tried a buckwheat filled pillow before and that didn't live up to the tv claims that it resolves all sorts of neck pain and back pain and sleep isses
The My Pillow looks to be filled with small chunks of some kind of foam and the pillow looks lumpy when the founder pats it on the table and fluffs it. It doesn't look comfortable to me.

My husband constantly writes down the # for this company in their TV ads, but he never calls them. I like goose-down, which is what we have.

I think the My Pillow is made with chunks of memory foam, and you can get a pillow like that just about anywhere, no reason to spend that much. They're fluffier than regular memory foam pillows but not as fluffy as a fiberfill pillow. I bought one at Costco but it's a little too thick for my taste so it stays on the couch. I use a regular memory foam pillow for sleeping on. I have my eye on another one at Costco with a cooling side, if that goes on sale I think I'll get it.

I can't find pillow that I like. We each have a King pillow and then a Queen as well. Mollipop starts out sleeping in my arms, but sometime during the night, she will move up to the King pillow and sack out there for the rest of the night. We basically use both our pillows when watching TV in bed. For me, when I'm sleeping, I move my Queen down a bit, leaving room for Molli on the King. I don't like real thick pillows and the ones we have now are rather thick and dense and very firm. It hurts my neck. I've been tempted to get a Memory Foam, but am worried that it will be too firm

I've used a buckwheat filled pillow for years.
I think the problem I had was that the pillow didn't have enough of the buckwheat filling. If I held the pillow up by the short side, the filling was only half the pillow so it wasn't giving me any support. I'd spend all night pushing the filling around to get the support I need because it kept shifting as I tossed and turned

I haven't tried memory foam pillows. I heard that they're too hot to sleep on.

I think we had the same buckwheat pillows that you had for a while. They did the same thing and we hated them.

I love the memory foam pillows I have from Kohl's. They are great and not hot at all.

My husband has always been awful about pillows. He had the same pillows for years and refused to get new ones. The pillows were absolutely disgusting. He's always been very particular with them, knowing which one had to be on top and in which direction, etc. We have to bring our pillows with us on vacation even.

When we went to Napa in May we were flying, so bringing pillows was not an option. Every hotel we stayed in had very soft thick pillows, which were the complete opposite of his thin hard ones. He loved them! When we got home, we had to go out an buy new pillows. He stills loves them and hasn't had any neck or back issues since switching.

I think these are the ones we have -

I always bring a pillow when we travel too.
I don't bring my memory foam one though; it's too bulky.  There is just something about having my own pillow that feels good!  I carried one on the train once.  I brought one to the hospital when my 2nd was born.
