Hi. I will be getting a himalayan kitten around the end of October, and I want to try to feed her a homemade cooked food diet.

I am wondering if the recipes in this thread will meet the nutrition requirements for a kitten?

I also have some questions about the supplements that are listed.

Is the NOW Taurine the 100%  pure powder ?

Will any brand 10 mg capsules of chelated manganese work?

Is there a link to the twinlabs vitamin D or can I use a different brand? I can find it in other brands but haven’t found the twinlabs.

One other thing is that I checked my grocery store. They sell chicken livers by themselves, but the hearts are paired with the gizzards. I do not think that I could tell the difference in order to separate them. Would the mix of heart and gizzards work for the recipes?

Thank you in advance for the help!

Why not start with a pre-mix designed for cooked food like EZcomplete or U-stew for cats?

I think that that may be the best way for me to go right now. I saw that they have a coupon going on so that will bring down the cost a little bit.  I just really want to try to completely make it myself. I'll keep researching and hope to get there eventually. Thank you for the response.
