What food? I notice some brands have a consistency problem, for example Wellness is terrible. One of my cats will only eat Wellness, and sometimes when I order a case she wont touch it, other times she inhales it. It doesn't have anything to do with pet store vs. online, it's just a consistency issue with the brand.

Ditto to the above. I couldn't think of that at the moment, but she/he is right about the consistency issue. Star has it.

I have never had a problem with Chewy. Even better if cats are picky and don't eat something, they'll often give you a refund and tell you to donate the food to a local shelter.

Some foods do have consistancy problems though. Which ones do you feed your cats?

li happened with lotus, hounds n gatos m pride. N yes they have done that donate to a shelter n refund before but not anymore. Once they know u r a recurring customers, they make u send the food back n have to wait for the refund. This literally happened today again, my cats were eating lotus from the pet store, ordered a case from chewy n none of them would eat it. So now I have to return the case, while I had to pay for the food at the pet store.

I use chewy and never had that issue with Merrick or Pride rabbit. I buy soulistic from Petco.com and never had a problem. Have you tried crumbling Purebites freeze dried chicken on top? Do you live in a very warm area, maybe the heat! I don't feed dry so my guys are ravenous at dinnertime

It's probably dfiferences in the batch / lot of food. Cats may eat food with from one batch but may not eat the exact same food from a different batch. A pet store may have food from one batch but an online store will likely have a different batch. My previous cat had this issue. He ate NV Instinct beef from one batch just fine but the next time I bought a case of the food, it was from a different batch and he refused to eat it. The pet store gave me a refund and said that NV uses different processing plants so every batch will be slightly different because of where the ingredients for that plant is sourced from. I started checking the batch number of every single can and buying only the ones from a particular plant that I knew my cat would eat. And it was only the beef he had an issue with.
