My cat Autumn has asthma!!

My cat was just diagnosed with mild to moderate asthma (or a remote possibilty of heartworm).

She was put on daily prednisone tablets and I have an air purifier.

Does anyone know about natural remedies for asthma that I can safely use on a cat?

Awww Poor Autumn. I dont have any help but i'm sure someone will be able to advise.

If you subscribe to Catnip, the August 2003 issue has a wonderful article about asthma in cats. They suggest you invest in an air cleaner, and use dust-free litter and keep a journal to see if you can figure out what triggers the asthma epsiodes. Also if someone in your home smokes, this can trigger the episodes as well. They do not go into natural remedies, they just warn about the side effects of long-term use of conventional meds like bronchodialators and steroids.
