My sweet baby is 4 years old and he is constipated. What can I do to help him? I have tried pumpkin and he doesn't seem to like it. But he want even eat tuna right now. He is just laying in his litter box. Please help. Will Merilax help or a stool softener maybe?

Miralax (or Clearlax, the Walmart store brand, which has the exact same ingredients but is much cheaper) can help with constipation. Feeding only canned food can help a lot, too, because it has a lot of water in it that softens everything up and makes it move through the system more easily. If you put 'Miralax' in the site search bar, tons of threads about it will pop up.

A warning: My (formerly) chronic constipation cat got badly dehydrated after using Miralax for a couple days. We (foolishly) did not consult our vet before giving it to her. Miralax works by pulling water into the colon, so it pulled and used up all the moisture she was taking in, which resulted in dehydration. The Miralax did un-constipate her- but at a price, since we didn't know to supplement her water intake. After a trip to the vet for sub-q fluids (dehydration is nothing to mess around with), we switched her to an all-canned food diet with a Tablespoon of water mixed into every serving. After getting her off dry food, she never had another issue with constipation.

I would strongly suggest calling your vet first for advice. :)
