This is weird. She went into the bathroom slowly and when I followed her I saw she was urinating in the bathtub. When she saw me she freaked (because she knows not to go outside her litter box) and she ran away from me and to her litter box and continued urinating there.

When cats go outside the box they are trying to tell you something. She's not feeling her best and is looking for relief. [emoji]128533[/emoji]

I would think that she is just uncomfortable and perhaps having contractions, but of course, I can't say for sure since I'm not there.

Is there any discharge or can you see contractions? I know she's very close!

She won't let me see her behind but she keeps licking there! If there is discharge it's not dripping on the floor and she's cleaning it right away, but her vulva never looks dry anymore.

I don't know if what she's having is contractions but her stomach and sides have gotten way harder than before today and I can feel and see really strong movement, I just can't tell if it's the babies or contractions. I could've sworn I saw her have at least one contraction yesterday though!

I hope you're right! [emoji]128517[/emoji]

I think she is probably in labor. The strong movement is most likely contractions. Stage one can go 24 hours. She's on her way!

I sure hope so! She looks so tired (when she's not searching for cockroaches to kill [emoji]128514[/emoji]) and I want her to get it over with. Tomorrow I'm not home until 3 PM so I hope it happens after that. My mother is betting on Sunday so we'll see!

Just got home, no babies! [emoji]128546[/emoji]
But when she saw me get home she led me to a new nesting box my mother put for her, sniffed it, then sat beside it and not inside it. I don't feel the strong movement in her stomach I felt yesterday and on Thursday so I'm guessing it wasn't contractions but I could be wrong.

she's struggling and i can't take a better picture. she's yowling and keeps scratching me. i found her next to a box, i think some people threw her out. It's breaking my heart. she walks a bit but it's more like crawling if it helps you guess her age.

What can I do to help her calm down? I fed her but she wouldn't calm down, she's so scared. I'm scared I'm hurting her because she's meowing so much. She's so dirty. I can have people take her on Monday but for now I don't know what to do.

Relax. Did she bottle feed, or eat soft food?

She looks about 3-4 weeks. Does she have her baby teeth? Can you weigh her?

She can probably pee on her own, but may be dehydrated. Get as much fluid in her as you can.

It does sound like she got put out. Poor thing! Thank you for rescuing her! Is your mama kitty interested in her? She may be able to finish raising her.

Hold her close to reassure her!

She bottle fed, didn't even look at soft food.

She won't let me get close long enough to see her teeth but I think I saw baby teeth when she was meowing.

I'm feeling scared that her mom left her and was coming back for her. I couldn't wait out there to see if her mom was coming back or not, it's a very dirty area. I was told dogs pass through there so I was just scared for her but I would feel awful if I were taking her away from her mom. But I assumed her mother would've hidden her rather than just put her out in the open next to a box. How can I tell?

I'm trying my best to pull her close but she keeps trying to climb on my shoulder and jump, the little thing is stronger than she seems.

You did the right thing by taking her. She's probably 4 weeks.

Can you weigh her?

How much KMR did she drink?

Offer her formula every 2 hours to make sure she gets hydrated. Then she can go to 4 hours.

I don't have a scale to weigh her. My mother guesses somewhere around 150 g. She looks bigger than she really is in the picture.

I fed her about 5 ml (a bit of it spilled).

Okay in that case I should be feeding her again in about 20 minutes.

150 grams is only 5 ounces. If she has baby teeth, she's 3-4 weeks and should weigh 12-16 ounces.

Is there any way your mom could buy a digital scale at Walmart that weighs in grams? Or anybody you can borrow one from? It would help to know weights for this kitten and your kittens-to-be!

So, if the kitten weighs 8-10 ounces, it needs 64-70 mLs per 24 hours. With 4-hour feedings, she needs 10-12 mLs at each feeding. Hopefully, she'll begin eating more.

Also, give her a snuggly toy and maybe a rice sock microwaved for warmth.
