Two kittens. They weren't nursing. She put them inside a small house we got for her then went back to her birthing area and started cleaning herself. They wouldn't settle on any nipple and I tried countless times to lead them to find one. Should I go to a vet?

Do you have KMR to feed them yourself? Have they still not nursed since being born?

And I'm not sure the placenta came. Mom said there was a new spot of blood so it probably it so still, I'm not sure. They're more than 2, I know that. She still hasn't birthed the rest and i don't know why.

They need 1-2 mLs each every single hour. Do you know how to feed? Or do you need instructions?

Formula should be warm. Kittens need to be warm. Do you have a heating pad?

Using a needleless syringe, hold the kitten tummy down, head up, and go drop by drop in the side of the mouth. Let the kitten swallow, breathe, and give another drop.

Is mom spending time with them at all? Has her milk come in?

My mom won't let me feed them. I'm so mad. I'm taking them to the vet at 9 am can they live that long?

When I saw them first she had been lying down and they were in a house on the other side of the room sleeping. Could they have fed while I hadn't noticed?

One of them fed a little I think. The other doesn't have much energy.

Why won't your mom let you feed them? What is her reason? They will die if you don't!

This happens occasionally, where milk isn't in yet, or a mom needs to recover for a day or two, and humans have to intervene to feed the newborn kittens until mom can take over.

They need food!

The kitten with no energy especially needs feeding. You can smear some honey on its gums to perk it up. It may not make it until tomorrow if it does not get fed.

Can it make two-three more hours until I take it to the vet? It won't feed, I tried. It tries to feed from its mom but won't feed from me. That's why mom won't let me, because I tried before and it didn't work. Its umbilical cord is red at its end. I'm so sad

Red at which end? At the naval?

Can you smear some honey on its gums? That will perk it up some.

Did you try feeding using a syringe or bottle?

This is very frustrating.

Where do you live? What time is it there?

You need to try again. Wrap the kitten up like a burrito. One drop at a time. There is no reason for them to die.

I mis-explained. Sorry. Nerves and sleep deprivation take their toll.
At first mom wouldn't let me, but I tried anyway and it didn't work because I was holding it parallel to me and it wouldn't feed. So after I read your post on how it should be done, I wanted to try again but she really wouldn't let me this time.

I tried with a syringe. I have no idea what the naval is but I meant the end that's far from its body, that's on my side if that makes any sense.

Mom won't let me near them, she says I'll hurt them if I intervene because the same one whose umbilical cord we had to take the vet's advice and pinch it ourselves, it's the one without energy.

Tell her they will die. Surely that is worse than anything you could do.

I did a thousand times. My mother is not stable. She has mental episodes. She won't listen to reason and if I try to do otherwise she might hurt me. Please don't pressure me, I'm already hurting. [emoji]128532[/emoji]

Just get all 3 to the vet first thing in the morning.

Please let us know how things work out.

I just need them to stay alive for a couple of hours. I'm going to leave the house for the vet's in an hour. I'm feeling so sad and pained right now nothing I do seems to stop my heart from hurting. It makes it hurt more to know that it's so easy to solve but I'm not allowed to.

I know. You are in a difficult situation. You are doing the best you can under the circumstances.

Are you in the U.S.?
