Need help rehoming my cats (Houston, Texas)!

So we have three cats that we really need to rehome as urgently as possible because of allergies and recent financial and familial circumstances. Long story short we got them as rescues and we have basically raised them as semi outdoors cats, and now because of severe allergies and financial circumstances, we want to rehome them and give them to a good home that will give them the love and care they need. We aren't able to do that because most of the family hates cats, and wants to drop them off at the shelter (which isn't even no kill). I don't want to do that because these are wonderful cats, but they are adults and so don't have too much of a chance at the shelter. My family doesn't care what I do with them, as long as they are gone before a certain date, so I'm basically under a deadline to get these cats good homes before I'm forced to abandon them. It's even more complicated because two of these three cats are very close sisters and don't do too well separated, so we want to rehome them together. I've tried all the rescue groups in and around houston, none of them have space. I've also tried the no kill shelter, they are also overrun. If anyone in the area would be willing to adopt any of them that would be much appreciated. The rehoming fee is $30, they are all fully vaccinated and fixed. The two sisters are buy one get one free essentially. I'm new here so I don't know how the site works, so pardon any mistakes made/rules broken. I figured this was a good place to post because the people here like cats , are more trustworthy and are a safer bet than some unknown from craigslist. The two sisters are Fluffy (black/white) and Tawny (tabby/white). The remaining cat is all black (I've noticed people don't like that for some reason) and male. They are all super gentle and sweet, good with kids, people and other cats as well. Fluffy is super friendly and social, Tawny is a bit quieter. Inky is super quiet and gentle, but very friendly as well. I apologize for any rules broken and/or if this post is too long. I legitimately need help getting these cats good forever homes that can fully support them, I'm not trying to sell them or anything, the rehoming fee is just a standard thing to make sure the cats have less of a chance of falling into the wrong hands. Any help is sincerely much appreciated. Here are some pics:

Good luck. It's not easy finding good homes for adult cats, I'm afraid. Have you considered keeping them as outdoor cats? It's far from ideal but since they are already outdoor-indoor maybe that's preferable to a shelter where they would almost certainly be put down. They are fixed so it shouldn't cost you a lot to keep them in the short-term and you can save up now for future vet costs. They shouldn't be a problem for your allergic family members if they're outside.

By the way, have these allergies been tested and confirmed? It's easy to confuse dust allergies with cat allergies. There's also the question of just how allergic a person is. We have many members who live with cat allergies and with cats too.

That said, it does sound like your family simply doesn't want cats. I don't know how old you are and what your situation is like. Had it been me and the circumstances would allow it, I would move out and take the cats with me but I do realize that's not necessarily an option for other people.

Best of luck to you and to the cats.

I wish you were a little closer, but all three would be a lot and my wife would kill me if I had 5 cats haha (already have 2) I do like how the cats look but I wish you the best in finding a great home for them, if I had the space I would take them in but I don't. im sorry. best of luck

Have you asked all of your friends at school and church, etc? I do hope they can all stay together!

Hi all! Thank you for your kind replies. There seems to be some confusion about the cats being adopted together-Fluffy (black/white) and Tawny (tabby/white) probably need to be adopted together, but Inky (all black) can be adopted alone (actually it's better that he's adopted alone). Also our current situation is such that I can't keep any cats with me and we can't keep them as outdoor cats either because the family simply doesn't want to spend any money on them, even just feeding them. And yes the allergies have been tested and confirmed, not that it matters too much at this point. We've also asked around with jsut about everyone we  know but no one is able to/wants to take them. Once again thank you all for your advice,, I really appreciate it!

Is there anyone who can foster them for you even temporarily in their home until an adoptive home is found?

Unfortunately so far we haven't found anyone who is able to do that either.

Also does anyone know if posts can be edited after posting? That way I could just make the original post clearer about Fluffy and Tawny being the two that need to be adopted together instead of all three. Also if anyone lives a bit too far away but would still be willing to take any of them we would be willing to try and meet halfway.

I copied your post and sent it a friend of mine who lives in Amarillo.  How far away is that from you?  I know Texas is a pretty big state.

Hi! Thank you so much for that! Unfortunately Amarillo is a nine hour drive from where we are, so it wouldn't be feasible even to meet halfway. Thanks so much though, really appreciate it :)

Yeah, that's what Natalie said.  Also, she's unofficially engaged (boyfriend is making payments on the ring and won't officially ask her until he has it) and they're looking for a house to buy and he has a dog who won't tolerate cats.  I tried, though.

Hi sorry about the delay in reply! The cats are all a year and a month old. Thank you so much for considering @boellp  !

Another good source might be petfinder.com.  If you scroll to the bottom, there seems to be a bit of different things that might help.

Stories of people like your family being so cold towards animals is heartbreaking, especially when cats can bring so much joy and happiness if people just open their minds and hearts.  I pray they find a home where they are truly loved like family.

@Tarasgirl06  Thank you so much its really very kind of you! And @boellp  yes we would definitely be able to meet halfway between Houston and Austin! @WhatsOneMore  Thank you for letting me know, I  went through Petfinder to see if I could post my cats but I think they only work with shelters/rescues. And their resources were super useful but unfortunately none of the rescues I tried from their list have any spaces open so far. And thank you for your kind words, my family just views the cats as nuisances at best. Hopefully they will find homes that are able to accept them as a part of the family. And once again thank you to everyone here for all your help!

I wonder - could you contact the shelters and rescues and ask them if they could post the cats on petfinder for you?

I only have the one friend in Texas so I don't know of any other way I could help you.  I would be willing to take them until they found homes, but I'm in northeast Missouri and can't afford a trip to Texas.  :(
