I have an 11 year old cat with arthristis. When we found her, she was near death, starving and had a bad broken leg. We've had her now for 8 years and we love her. But her arthritis is getting very bad. She is no longer able to get up on our bed without a stool and I have to sometimes pick her up to sit on my lap, since she is unable. I hate to see her in pain! Is there something (OTC) that I can give her to help ease the pain a bit?

Don't give her any OTC pain medicine, especially NOT ones meant for Humans because they are toxic to cats.

Has your cat been seen by the vet? If not, please make an appointment. The vet can prescribe cat-safe pain medicines and suggest pet supplements that may be helpful. The vet can also det ermine if your cat does have arthritis or some other condition that is affecting your cat's ability to mve normally.

I know Tramadol and Arnica can be used as a pain reliever for both cats and dogs but I would recommend checking with your vet first.  Sending special thoughts your way.
