My beloved 2 year old cat, Piper, has recently been diagnosed with what the vet says is either blood-bourne or bone marrow cancer, testing for the exact kind would be very expensive and would not help delay the inevitable (she also tested negative for both FeLV and FIV). I have decided against chemotherapy to treat her illness, but instead to give her the most pleasant and comfortable life for the time she has left with me. I've been reading about natural alternatives to chemotherapy treatments and keep running across advocates for Lactoferrin in keeping feline cancers manageable for a time and increasing iron levels, and quality of life. She is severely anemic as a result of her cancer, and I've read that Lactoferrin will help starve the existing cancer cells of the iron that they need to grow and reproduce. Before I purchase anything, I am hoping to get some advice, experiences, or knowledge on the subject. Any and all advice on the matter will be SO much appreciated!
I'm not ready to let my little girl waste away without putting up a good fight!

Thank you

by all means, give her the Lactoferrin. She'll probably like the taste, you can sprinkle it on food or if necessary dissolve in water and syringe feed. Also, vitamin B can't hurt. If you haven't already, get her a heated cat bed  like that one I linked you. Anemic cats feel quite cold. Get her to eat as much as possible, no matter what, she needs the calories. Try egg yolks, try kitten food, anything. If you get down to syringe feeding, best get yourself a decent feeder syringe or two.

Very sorry for Piper and wishing her all the best!
