Have you ever thought about becoming a professional pet photographer?  Your photos are always great!  I can get decent shots of one of my cats but the other is more interested in getting attention than being photographed.

Just scheduled Hazel's spay! She (and 12 others!) Will be going on 2/2! I am so excited and nervous about this trip! This will be our first time going to this clinic- and the first time I have ever taken this many cats to be altered at the same time!

Wow! Is the clinic nearby? Will the cats come home the same day? What do you know about this clinic and the vets working there? Did the clinic come recommended?

Will you have help transporting 13 cats?

It is about an hour and a half away- which is why I want to take as any as once as I can because I dont really have time to make a trip there several times. If all goes well with this trip I would like to start making trips there maybe once a month or once every other month for my fosters/ strays/ ferals in the area as well as taking previously adopted cats! It is a very well utilized low cost clinic that I found online when looking for low cost options. In my city they have a couple of voucher programs that are pretty strictly regulated, there isnt a clinic exactly. We will take them between 7:30-8 in the morning then pick them back up between 4-6 that evening. I dont know yet what we are going to do during the hours in between. I am glad they could fit everyone in at once!

I hope it works out well for you. If so, it will make the drive worthwhile. Perhaps catch a movie or do some shopping to stock up on supplies while waiting? Bring a computer and work or read in a nearby library?

That's a LOT of kittehs to transport!  Bless your heart.  I would imagine that the times they gave you were to accommodate the last surgery start time with that recovery time.  I'm certain they can't do all 13 at once!

I am hoping that we have good relations with this clinic and are able to schedule trips regularly! Finding a good low cost spay/neuter clinics was one of my priotities!

My newest foster kitten! I started work at 11 tonight, we trapped this little kitten at 10:53. Hehe I was almost late! We live in a college town. This little guy/gal belonged to a student who lived in the dorms (and wasn't allowed to have pets). We have heard from others living in the dorms that he/she was passed around between friends until before the holidays, when whoever had him/her just dumped her outside. We have been working with another rescue group for over a month to catch this baby and tonight we finally did! I think its a girl, but since I didn't have much time to settle/exam her before I had to go to work I am not sure yet. More pictures and updates to come!

What a lovely little tux that is!  Thank you for taking her in!  Although I grieve for ferals, it's the dumps and the strays that just break my heart.  They know what home and love is, and have lost it.

People like this totally make me sick.

Hey guys! Unfortunately today's update isn't a happy one... you may remember about a month ago I got this senior girl when someone found her close to death in the woods. She finished her antibiotics and seemed to be much better. Yesterday after working a double I came home to find her lifeless, barely breathing on the floor. I picked her up and put her on the bed and talked to her and rubbed her paws, trying to get her to come back to me. But I could see that it was time. So we rushed her to our vet and ended her suffering. Rest easy Minnie Mouse! This is my first rescue death, and the first time I have ever had to take an animal in to be euthanized... it has been hard for me.

Oh I'm so sorry. I am thankful that sweet Miss Minnie knew an immense amount of love while she was with you and that you were there to help ease her suffering. Minnie is now free of pain, running and playing on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Hey all! Keeping busy here with adult cats, trying to prepare as kitten season is rapidly approaching. I was contacted about this adorable tortie, they think she is pregnant, and she is a stray so its only a matter of time before she becomes pregnant, but from the pictures she doesn't look like she is right now, or if she is maybe she isn't very far along? What do you guys think? Either way I will be trying to get her in ASAP to prevent kittens if I can!

What a beautiful tortie! My guess is that she's pregnant. Nipples pink up at 3 weeks, and by 5 weeks she'll be showing. I agree, a pregnancy termination would need to occur quickly.

It's great to hear from you! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

We have been very busy! Since our last update we took 13 cats to a low cost spay/neuter clinic an hour and a half away, we pulled 4 cats from a shelter in another county- two of which had been there for over a year and a half, one a year, and the other a three legged tripod kitty! I just recently took in a cat from a feral colony that was in pretty rough shape- his name is Hopscotch because he had a limp. After a check up on Tuesday he is missing a few toes and has some battle scars from previous fights with other Toms. He is FIV+ and is being treated for ear mites, he is otherwise healthy. He was neutered today, which brings my total spays/neuters this month up to 16- which may not be a lot but I am happy of it! I have got a full house right now, so I am hoping to get a few adoptions lined up and some funding for her spay so that I can take the tortie in.

Wow - 16 cats fixed - that is awesome! You are doing so much to help our feline friends. What a difference you are making. When do you expect to get the tortie?
