Thanks guys! Her belly definitely is no longer firm like I believed it was, coincidentally she also has pooped a lot. So maybe she was just constipated from a poor diet before? Who knows. Her fur on her lower back and tail is still weird... like less fluffy then the rest. Do you think it is a flea allergy thing? I treated her with Advantage II two weeks ago so I might go ahead and put another dose on her... I havent seen anymore recently but if it helps
Tera felt like a brillo pad the first time I petted her. The fur on her back and tail made me cringe thinking of ringworm and what have I touched. When I visited her last week she felt as soft and fluffy as our Mook who is like satin to touch. So likely good food and time. She improved during the 4 weeks she was in our house but I was blown away by what a couple of weeks more did for her.

Just looking at his "before" and then "after" pics, one can see a huge difference.  He's getting there.

I will try to get updated pictures of Hazel and pictures where you can see what I am talking about with her tail, I am just so busy this week! I am working 73 hours this week and we just took in two more young cats (7 and 8 months old) then towards the end of the week we are supposed to get two more adults from a colony of cats (luckily all four of the new ones are already spayed/neutered so I don't need to worry about having that done before finding them homes). Should I post pictures of the new babies on this thread? Or start a new thread somewhere else since this wouldn't be considered pregnant cats and kitten care? Thanks!

You can continue with all your cats in this thread since you foster. If a problem arises that we are not equipped to deal with, you can pose it in another thread at that time. I think 73 hours of work is not healthy! [emoji]128528[/emoji]

Ok! Meet my two newest babies that I pulled from another rescue on a diferent side of West Virginia! Donner (grey tabby) and Blitzen (black)

Both are about 7 and 8 months old, already neutered- which makes things a bit easier for me! Blitzen is pretty shy, I am surprised I was able to get a picture of him in the tree lol.

Yes they are! Those are good ones.
I've discovered that as well w/ my new girl Sammy.
Now, I always try to get pictures of her in natural light, especially with the door open, so the sun comes on the glass door.
I got these this morning. [emoji]128522[/emoji]
So funny how you see brown on black cats in the sun.

It doesn't help that Blitzen is a shy guy either! Definitely developing my photography skills with these guys!

The black kittens were adopted this week (this week they were at the 10ish week mark) Andy went to her new home today! So bittersweet. I miss that sweet girl. I am going to give her new mommy the link to this thread to read through and post updates if she wants!

I'm also feeling bittersweet that mama Andy has gone to her forever home. I'm, of course, thrilled she's been adopted and is going to be loved and cherished as she deserves but I'll miss her beautiful face. She is one specific girl. I hope her new mom does stop in and let us know how she is doing [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

Hi guys!
I adopted Andy yesterday and couldn't be happier. She is so sweet. She's still warming up to my 1 year old but it sure didn't take long for her to make herself at home. She shared my pillow last night and seems to be thriving and happy. I've really enjoyed reading about Andy's road to recovery. Thanks for helping ashade1 be such a wonderful foster mommy.
