Those little torties are just darlings.  I so want them, and would so be in trouble with both my landlady and Hekitty!

Hey guys! Everyone is doing great! No pictures for now (sorry) couple of questions! The caretaker of the mom and kittens I will be getting when Wini's kittens go to their homes needs me to take them ASAP. They are all outside right now and it is getting very cold outside. I am wondering if it would be ok to let their new owners adopt them a couple of days sooner than 10 weeks? Just so that I have the spare room to put the new mom and kittens in. We also are worried about the mom getting pregnant again since they are outside (she will be spayed once with me).

Andy's litter: They are rapidly outgrowing my small bedroom. I have been taking them out for a couple of hours into the main part of my apartment to socialize with the other dogs and healthy resident cats (not the other fosters). Also to give Momma Andy a break from her 8 kittens for a bit. As they get older I would eventually like to open the bedroom door and let everyone cohabitate, but I am worried about Andy... I have never introdice a mom foster kitty to everyone... I feel like she is going to be defensive over them... any tips? I have introduced many fosters to my crew with no problem. I just wish I had had Andy before she had kittens so she could have adjusted to them a bit... you know? Do you think the scent of the other cats on the kittens when I take them back into their bedroom helps her accept the other cats?

Thanks!

Yes, you can send the kittens to their new homes early. You need to get the new foster mom and litter inside right away. Are they in a crate outside? If so, at least bring them inside and put them in a corner of your main room.

I think you need to bring Andy out on her own first to see how she reacts, then take it from there. The scents of the others on the kittens may help.

I will see what adopters can meet me tomorrow! The person feeding them right now has the kittens in two dog crates on her porch, the mom, she has had some problems catching (she is pretty feral apparently, but I have a good bit of experience with ferals) the kittens are approximately 10 weeks old.

And with Andy we will leave her in my room for the next couple of days before I introduce her to everyone else, she seems happy in there lol. especiallly when I take her babies out and she can relax. She used to get up on the bed to get away from them but they all climb up there now!

Sounds good. I hope you can trap the mom.

Is Andy staying with you, or will she get rehomed?

Andy will be adopted when her kittens are old enough! I haven't had any interest in her yet but she is such a loving girl, I am sure she will find a great home! I already have two cats of my own so it isn't plausible for me to fall in love with all of my fosters (I do anyway lol)

So we have taken three of Wini's kittens to their furever homes! I will be moving Wini and her three remaining kittens that are here out into the main living area with my cats (I have been slowly trying to introduce them to my dogs and other cats so I think that they will adjust pretty quick). I will be putting the new fosters in my spare room where Wini and her kittens were, I will be picking them up soon! She hasn't been able to catch the mom yet.. hopefully before I get there she can!

Can you take a trap there for the mom that this person can bait and set in hopes of catching her?

She has a couple of traps, there are several cats that have been dumped at this location, she has been trapping and spaying/neutering them but hasn't been able to trap Momma, she said that when she sets it she catches the others and Momma is trap savy... she says sometimes during feedings the mom approaches her and rubs against her legs, she is going to try to get her then and put her in a cage for me to pick up.

They are here! And goodness are they adorable! Names themed from my more recent TV Obsession Bates Motel.

This is Alex!

Dylan!

Alex laying on top of Dylan! lol

Caleb!

Emma

Zane!

Norma Louise (I have to include the middle name because my beagle's name is Norma Jean lol)

How about these baby blues on Norma Louise?? How strange is that?

Alex and Dylan are very social, the others are still adjusting which of course is normal. I have made a vet appointment for tomorrow because you can see three of them have weepy eyes and are sneezy. So I am thinking they have a URI and need some antibiotics.

I am told that they were born August 17th.

We didn't catch the mom :/ but I told her to keep trying and when she is able to get her I will take her.

They are beautiful! At 8 weeks old it is time to see the vet anyway, so good you are going. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

This bunch is actually 10 weeks old! The vet says that she is certain that it is just a viral infection and nothing to be worried about! She recommended we try Lysine treats which I was already trying to give them- unsuccessfully lol we will try mixing them with a can of Fancy Feast or something. She did put in the chart that I can call in and get antibiotics if they would happen to get a secondary bacterial infection- if I notice nasal discharge and congestion or colored discharge from their eyes. So that is good I guess!

Another update for everyone! Two more of Wini's kittens were adopted- the two boys together! yay! I love when siblings go together! So it is just Wini and one of her kittens left! I think her kitten is going to her home tomorrow and Wini's spay is Friday and she should be going to her new home Monday if she is looking good by then!

Andy's litter is doing amazing! Growing like weeds! The two creme colored boys I can tell are going to be HUGE. They have always been bigger than everyone else, but their paws are huge and everything. They are precious!

A few pictures of some of Andy's babies!

And my newer bunch- The Bates Motel Crew! They are warming up to me! They were born feral so it has taken a lot of sitting and talking to the to coax them to come out of my dresser drawers to play, but they are warming up! A couple of them still have the weepy eyes, they don't seem interested at all in the Lysine treats, even when I crush it up and mix it with Fancy Feast... tips?
