Hi. I joined bc I'm concerned about Harley. He's been licking his privates excessively and acting a little strange as he's always begging for food usually and today he isn't begging for food nor is he eating any. Just licking his privates. I'm concerned and cannot afford a vet visit. He's not crying or making any noise or even acting like he's in pain. But not eating and licking all day is not like my Harley

Constanty licking the genitals is a common sign of a urinary issue. Many cats are bothered by a minor urinary issue and won't show any obvious signs of pain. You should take your cat to the vet for a check up. If it does turn out to be a urinary issue (inflammation, crystals, bladder stones, etc), the vet can treat it before it becomes serious to the point where a catheher or surgery is be needed. Look into low cost vet clinics in your area.

Is your cat peeing ok? Another sign of urinary issue is ittle drops of pee instead of a  typical puddle and going to the litter box more frequently.

Please try to get your cat to eat. Cats who don't eat for more than a day are at risk for fatty liver disease. Try offering canned cat food if you normally feed dry.

I agree. My old kitty who was prone to urinary problems would literally like dive and start vigorously cleaning/ licking his privates. This is a clear sign of an infection or stones or another urinary problem.

You should take kitty to the vet for a check up and monitor his bathroom habits. Frequent trips, straining, problems walking, all signs of trouble.
