I had to post the title in all caps to attempt to capture the excitement of the moment.  So, I was going to wait until I went on break to give them a couple of their toys, but they had other ideas.  They each grabbed a package out of the box and I had to wrestle them away to open them and now they're completely occupied chewing and fighting and killing the toys.  I closed the box up and I'll give them more toys later this evening.

The blue toy laying forgotten next to Connor is one of their old toys.  He doesn't care about it.  Haha

Connor has Kong Naturals Crinkle Ball with Feathers (contains catnip).

Murphy has Petstages catnip Dental Health Chews.

John has just informed me that they have traded toys.  So, first two items are a rousing success!

Awww.  Those guys are adorable.  You can just see how excited they are about their new toys in the photos.  They will probably love the Hot Pursuit Ca Toy.  Chula and Paul certainly do.  Here's a tip I read on Amazon - if you buy a cheap lazy susan turntable and velcro or tape the toy to it, the motor doesn't strain and turn off when they catch the feather.  Lucy Connor and Murphy!

I'll have to look into that.  I don't have a lot of space so I'm not sure where I would put it, but I'll figure something out.

The lazy susan is actually smaller than the Cat Pursuit Toy when it's spread out.  Here's the one I bought.    You might not have any problems though.  A lot of the reviewers said their toy was fine.  It might be that it's been redesigned - these kinds of toys were famous for getting stuck and turning off but I did read there had been some improvements.

I'm about to go on break for 30 minutes, so we'll see how it goes.  :)

The pictures didn't come out very well, but my cell phone isn't of a high enough quality to capture fast-moving blurs.  Needless to say, they love it.  Half an hour after I set it up, I still hear them in the living room playing with it.  It hasn't had any issues with turning itself off and the boys have caught the toy several times.  I'm probably being overprotective, but I told John to turn it off if he goes out to smoke and turn it back on when he comes in.  I want them to be supervised when they're playing with anything motorized.

Those pictures turned out great!  They show your boys were moving fast and having fun!

They sure were!  And they wore themselves out.  They're both out cold now.  LOL

Catnip frog and catnip fox

They seemed a little less excited about these, but they still seem tired from going nuts with the moving thing earlier.  But they are chewing on them and playing with them.  Just slightly lazily.  LOL

I love them, too!  I couldn't have asked for better kitties.  I wouldn't change a thing about them - except making them grow up a little more slowly.  They're only 6 months old and they're already bigger than some full grown cats.  My babies aren't babies anymore!  They'll always be my babies, though - no matter how big they get.

Taking a break from the toys . . . and claiming the box

And . . . the fireball.  Which I had a hard time getting a picture of, since they were throwing it around so fast.

Catch That Mouse balls - there's a little mouse in the cage.  They were having fun carrying them around and then decided to just cuddle with them.

And all these pictures have highlighted the fact that I need to vacuum again.  LOL.  There's a lot of tiny pieces of shredded toilet paper everywhere.  Couldn't have been Connor and Murphy.  Must have been Gremlins.

And, the final round of toys.  Two feather mice stuffed with catnip and a purple platypus and orange fox, also stuffed with catnip.

There are kitty toys everywhere, 2 worn out boys passed out on the floor, and catnip all over my shirt because stuffing it in those refillable toys is just a bit messy.

AHHHH you're killing my impatience! We've just placed an offer on a house (FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS!!!) and the excitement is killing us. Our tiny apartment is outgrown, and our furkids are going to DIE when they get their brand new cat tree after we move... I CANNOT WAIT TO BUY IT!!!

Congratulations!!!  We only have a 1 bedroom apartment at the apartment but the boys have a big scratching post tree in front of the window.  They sit on the top platform and look outside more than they use it for scratching, though.

I do extreme couponing, and their goal is to knock down as much product as they can to get to different shelves on an upcycled entertainment center so they can look out :( I've figured out how to pack stuff in there tightly enough that they can't pull it out LOL. But things like liners, toilet paper, etc... they've been known to tear open and shred in the process -_- I cannot wait to have an off limits coupon room! lol
