It's 10:02 AM here in Florida. Someone is eating something that is LOADED with raw onions and they stink. I like onions- a LOT but not this early in the morning.

They aren't even eating whatever it is in the break room.

I'm awake at 9 am.  I hate mornings.  But we have Aislyn again and John works from 3 pm to 3 am today so I'm letting him sleep in.  Friday and Saturday are my days off anyway.  So Aislyn and I are sitting here watching Peppa Pig and eating ham, egg, and cheese croissants.

And I'm so tired I can't see straight.  Some nights I can sleep through John's snoring.  Last night, I could not.  Usually, I can nudge him and he'll stop long enough for me to fall asleep and then it doesn't matter but I was having trouble getting to sleep again last night and the nudges only stop the snoring for a few minutes.  Oh well.  Aislyn will take a nap later this afternoon and I will nap with her and her grandma is picking her up to spend the evening with her tonight so I'll get some rest then.

And Aislyn picked out the boys' breakfast this morning.  She wanted them to have ocean whitefish and tuna feast.  They greatly enjoyed her choice.  LOL

And I'm sitting here at 2pm, drooling at the thought of ham, egg and cheese croissants.  Just three weeks and three days more of hot dogs and oatmeal, and I'll be able to actually get real groceries again!

He emerges, satisfied that they mean us no harm.

Sophie supervises me changing the sheets too. She watches me take them off then examines the mattress cover. She follows me to the washer while I put them in and then comes back to supervise me putting them in the dryer and "helps" me put them back on the bed. Sometimes she will burrow under the sheets or blanket to make herself a little cave.

Thank goodness we have them to protect us from evil sheets and mattress covers. Who knows what dastardly deeds they would subject us to?

Jasmine is convinced that all sheets and blankets are intent upon eating cats.  She'll lie on top, because that gives her the upper paw, but burrow under?  No way!  And when a human moves to cover up a bit more, Jasmine gets off the bed pronto, for fear that the evil blanket will attack and eat her.

Somehow, she doesn't seem to worry that it will eat me
Maybe she thinks I'm too big to be eaten.

My townhome building is currently dealing with fire alarm testing. This is an annual event. My poor babies are currently hiding under the bed together. Apollo and Casey have let me pet them. Sonny and Starbuck are hiding where I can not see them.

That gets done here, too, twice a year per state law along with sprinkler testing. I have no idea what Leroy does since the testing is done during the day while I'm at work. I know Emma hides. Leroy might just follow the people around as they test the sprinklers and make sure the alarms / strobe lights in my unit are working. I should get my smoke and CO2 detectors changed. Two are over 10 years old
and one was changed maybe 3 years ago when it went on the frtiz and would not stop chirping even after a battery change
The're hard wired into the electrical system with a battery back up so I need to have an electrician do it. Three dectors shouldn't cost too much on top of labor, right?

Ugh, poor kitties.  And poor you!  I don't even want to think about the headache that would give me!

I went through a period when I ate Ramen for a month.  I rarely had anything else because I was that broke.  I got sick to death of Ramen and just plain sick.  My body didn't react well to having nothing but carbohydrates and salt.  Ramen really has no nutritional value.  And my hypoglycemia went nuts.  Now, I won't even consider eating Ramen unless there is absolutely nothing else to eat and I have no way to get somewhere to get something else.  I've walked over a mile to get to a grocery store just so I wouldn't have to eat Ramen.  But I keep some of it around as "emergency just in case" food.  You can survive on it for a short period of time.  You may not enjoy it, but you won't die.  So I'm prepared if we have a big blizzard and can't get out for a while or blah blah blah.

I have a heck of a time making the bed when Connor is around.  Murphy isn't too bad about it, but Connor makes it impossible.  He pounces on every wrinkle and crease and jumps on any part of the sheet or blanket that moves even the tiniest bit.  And he gets under the sheets and blankets and attacks my arms and hands as I try to straighten the bedding.  But none of my babies have a problem snuggling under the blankets with me!

Speaking of snuggling, Aislyn's grandma picked her up to spend the evening with her so I'm gonna snuggle with my boys and get some sleep.  I have to get up early tomorrow morning to take Mickey to the vet.  I'm gonna get him checked over, get his first shots, and get him wormed and the assistant who made the appointment said they'll just send me home with a couple of extra doses of wormer for Connor and Murphy.

The alarm testing seems to be done. Casey has already come out of hiding and is hanging out with us. My other 3 are still hiding. Someone over the age of 18 is required to be home while your townhome is being tested.

Hope the other cats come out of hiding soon

I guess alarm and sprinkler testing rules vary from state to state and the type of housing In my complex, someone in the management office escorts the testing people to every unit so residents don't need to be at home. We get a few week's advanced notice of when testing will be done.

Leroy's getting cranky for his snack now
Need to go feed him now.

THE CUBS WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!

I wish I could convey the amount of happiness on my FB newsfeed. I've never, ever seen so much joy.
Congratulations!

The first time the Broncos won the Super Bowl we actually had rioting in Denver.  I understand excitement, but what kind of people riot because they won?!

Chicago Bulls fans :/ There were riots on the Repeat and/or Three-peat.

That's part of why people were nervous about the rally today (which happened to be the 7th largest gathering of human beings EVER in the world!). But it went pretty well. People were just so happy. It was nice to see for a change, compared to *cough* other things.

3 of the 4 have come out of hiding.  Starbuck is the only one I have not seen yet. My hubby is taking a nap before we go out with friends this evening.  She will probably come out and take a nap with him soon. Sonny and Apollo came out a while ago.  Apollo of course had to complain for a little while when he came down stairs.

Starbuck just walked by me and is now lounging on hubby's desk chair.

I got my order of cat toys from Hyendry.com.  These are animal fur cat teasers. The cats got so excited that they were all over playing like I've never seen before. Angua played so hard that she actually panted a bit. These are some seriously awesome cat toys.

i'd never heard of Hyendry.com so I raced over to check it out.  What fantastic toys!    I really want those catnip sticks.  How wonderful that everyone enjoys them so much - recently I've struck out.  It's always good to have another place to spend money and spoil our felines absolutely rotten.  I suspect my guys will be getting a package soon.  I'm not sure whether I should thank you or not!

The cat harnesses that I have came from that site as well. The one thing that drives me crazy is how long it takes for them to ship things, but as they are making all of these items by hand-  I suppose it is reasonable. And totally worth it since they love all these items so much.

We only got the teasers since our dog would definitely eat any of the other toys if she found them lying around.

Of course I had to go check the site out and now I'm really wanting to buy some cat toys.  I can't - I have to pay for Mickey's vet appointment tomorrow and random other expenses.  But I bookmarked the page and I will be going back.

They should seriously give you some kind of advertising bonus.  Maybe send them a screenshot of this page.  Haha
